Pls help. I use i3wm with gdm. Suddenly this morning, something went wrong with i3. X starts okay, but for some reason i3 doesn't display anything. It still works, I can open terminal and reboot, but I can't see anything. it's a dark and blank screen. I can login with gnome, but i3 is blank.

When I play a game and something loads in (like an enemy monster or cutscene), the game slows down a lot or even freezes for a few seconds.
After it's done loading, it runs just fine at 60fps like it should.
All of my drivers are up to date. What can be causing this?

The base frequency is usually shared between multiple components sometimes multiplied or divided.
Eg; the base clock runs at 666 mhz, the CPU runs at 666*6 mhz, the RAM runs at 666*4
You cant have fractional constants. in this case, the ram runs a few hundreds mhz slower because this is how they were able to match it

I wrote a simple project on C++ and I'd like to distribute it and facilitate the compiling of the program for at least Linux, Windows and macOS. The code only uses the standard library and uses the standard C++11.
I was thinking of using cmake as the cross platform solution but having to either leave all the generated files on the root directory if cmake is run on the root of the program, or needing the user to run cmake in a build directory makes me think there should be better options, is there a better way to offer a simple way to compile my C++ code for multiple platforms?

My X230 works fine with touchpad or trackpoint, untill a plug it on a charger. Once I put to charge to trackpoint becomes jumpy and the touchpad completely unresponsive.

It says I need to configure some dependencies such as libconfig1 and the upgrade quits because of too many errors. I tried autoremove I tried apt -f install I tried dpkg -a --configure none of it works because of dependency problems. Help. I'll post the log later in case someone else runs into this problem too

The OS logs what you use the most, and keeps those programs in cache. Browsers do something similar. You can edit both, and change how much memory they keep reserved for this.

Anyone have any experience messing around with a LG G4? I tried using adb to change the resolution to a more sensible 1920x1080, as well as messing with the dpi to make it look alright, but after doing a reboot all my system apps (phone, camera, etc) started sending up error messages. I changed it back and it's fine, but I'm curious as to whether it's possible to change the resolution and have it work without rooting the phone and getting another ROM?

That's the 150cm mark in my country. If the kid is 12 but 155cm tall, then you don't need a children's seat.
