Which technology animators use to make beautiful things?

most of the big vfx guys run linux on their desktop workstations and renderfarms
surprisingly enough, the linux version of maya is the most stable one
>to make beautiful things
They stopped making beautiful things the moment they thought their computer 3D garbage was actually good.
This video is so cool. shows that the idea is the important part, if you have the idea you can make anything happen
thank you user, very cool !
nice desu
>most of the big vfx guys run linux on their desktop workstations and renderfarms
hahahaha, no.
>autodesk, sidefx and the foundry spend millions maintaining linux versions of their programs just to make autists happy
: - )
I dont know exactly, but the process is make models in some cad software, even autocad, then makes scenes, like animation(blender), then apply skins and materials to those models and start rendering each frame (applying light, shadows, effects to the objects etc and recording every frame, probably can use blender for that too. Somewhere in between add sound, audio effects, voice acting etc
Yeah because anybody makes shit in auto cad when Pixar created Maya and both are auto desk so it's just as much of a hassle getting Autocad than Maya which has everything and is the industry standard. Well that and zbrush
