Just get a Asus Vivobook S15 (pic related) and install a distro you like on it.
I bought the same model for 800$ with i7-8550U, MX130, 8 gigs of ram and 256 M.2 SSD and slapped bionic beaver on it, runs like a dream and screen is great even at 1080p due to pixel debsity and good screen size, keyboard is macbook like and design is there if you look forward to it, touchpad is windows precision ready.
