Windows can't handle threads in a sane way so AMD releases workarounds like this. Unless you bind specific thread to a specific core (or SMT emulated core) windows will drag software threads from one core to another randomly which gimps zen because copying context from one CCX to another via infinity fabric takes time.

Windows is totally shit for thread management, yes. I'm just suggesting that core parking would allow you to achieve essentially the same end result without completely rendering half of your CPU useless.

Stupid. Intel has a shortage of CPUs so of course AMD will outsell them. The actual market share is still around 80% for Intel and 20% for AMD (and 90+% for Intel if you're only counting professional and enthusiast hardware)
