*BSD is like a worse version of Linux. For example you cant watch Netflix/Amazon Prime Video in a browser because nobody makes Widevine for *BSD browsers.
The rare programs that do have a Linux version generally dont have a *BSD version, so you're either out of luck or have to rely on hacky compatibility layers.

Netfix runs FreeBSD on their CDN simply because the person they hired to develop their CDN was a FreeBSD guy and insisted on using it.

Windows is the unequivocally best desktop OS. Most of the good security software is proprietary.
LInux and other alternatives are good for Laptops where you need absolute security as you are prone to attacks in public, and of course theft. A lot of good security software is foss.
