Seriously

all possible answers at once dude weed lmoa

Seriously, what ISNT the future of quantum computing,
SERIOUSLY.
Marmalade on toast freshly brewed coffee the moment you wake up.
ARE YA GETTING IT YET DUMMY?!

Highly specialized applications.
And no, you won't have a quantum computer in your room anytime soon, unless you have enough space for the cooling unit to keep the chip close to the absolute zero.

It's not going to happen anytime soon.

You honestly don't want to know, I will spare you the details but it includes a lot of fucking cloud technology and VDI's. Get ready for the same shit you got now, but accessible via the magical cloud.

Why does it generate so much heat? Inefficient design or just how quantum processing works?

It's not because it generates heat. It's just that if the temperature is higher, quantum particles tend to be disrupted and lose the quantum properties you want to exploit.

>heat
it doesn't. the cooling is to prevent decoherence of quantum states. shit's unstable yo

The Matrix.
The worlds first truly Virtual Reality that you can completely escape into.
All your nerves will be controlled by this one machine, in an internal coma.

All for one thing.

A quantum chip is that big.
Everything else is mainly the cooling system, the rest the equipment needed to "read" the qubits and translate into readable traditional computer bits.

daily reminder that d-wave qc's haven't been proven to use quantum computation

They've been fooling everybody all this time and are actually using an Intel CPU.
It explains the massive cooling

>"read" the qubits and translate into readable traditional computer bits

I don't get this shit. Wouldn't this introduce decoherence and make the quantum computations unusable?

where do you see the issues? cooling?

I don't know the specifics of what they use, and it's not like they'd make everything public anyway. But what they read and translate is only the result when the computations are already done.
