Arch

>could be 10x more efficient using anything else

I agree.
Manjaro master race reporting in.

Tell your mom's husband that he's pathetic.

how so? once you're up and running literally the only difference between arch and any other distro is package management. so tell me user, how does package management affect your work flow?

>10x more efficient
at shitposting distro meme threads?

>could be 10x more efficient using anything else
stop making shit up dumb frogposter

>FeelsWeirdMan
you must be 18+ to post

lol you don't use arch? get with the times gramps all of the cool reddit hackermans are using it

why so much arch hate today?

because it's a garbage distro used only by homosexual redditors
if you use arch unironically, fuck off to Jow Forumsunixporn

what's a good distro then? what's an Jow Forumsunixporn?

gentoo
if your processor can't handle compiling everything, debian

umm sweetie productive people don't use linux they use windows or mac

>install and set up arch with i3 over two weekends
>have the stablest machine in our development team
>mfw whenever some shit windows terminal breaks or whenever mac forces an update that takes up to an hour at my workplace

Bullshit. I've been running Arch on my laptop since 2012. Other than initial setup, everything is smooth sailing as it is rolling release and changes incrementally. Other than the time I upgraded to a SSD, I just installed and kept using.

>When Mac forces an update

Has never once happened to me in 5 years of using a mbp.

It's like you need to install system one time in few years if you are not retarded, it's not that hard.

>could be 10x more efficent
any evidence to support these claims?

Its only inefficient if you are a newfag. gentoo and slackware are the most efficient because you compile your code from source and can fine tune everything. The time you save with an optimized and customized system outweighs the setup time. Arch may be no gentoo or slackware but it still gives you more control and thus can increase efficiency over xbuntu or RHEL distros. Threads like these scream newfag. Git gud nigger

>install and set up arch with i3 over two weekends
>pic related

>have the stablest machine in our development team
Even my winshit machine hasn't crashed in... I don't even remember last time it crashed. A few years ago?

That you think you need to spend 2 weekends to set up a machine in order to get it stable and functional is crazy.

Still less crazy than runing windows.

Exactly. It took me ~3 hours and that was without a wired connection and a broadcom network card.

Arch uses systemd. What kind of moron takes more than 20 seconds to figure out wifi. Its not like you are configuring rules and init scripts for wpa_supplicant or anything.

he's a shitposter on Jow Forums the install image probably gave him a hard time

where the fuck are the mods?

>implying anyone gives a shit about your preferences regarding what is a good distro
When will you understand that nobody gives a shit about what you people think. If people want to use windows, macos, or any linux dkstro, that's their choice, it's fucking computers, they're used to do taxes and watch cat pictures on the internet anyway, like who cares fuck off

Yeah it sure is more efficient to use more than one pacman command

next level is to automate your Arch installation with scripts so you can set it up in 10 minutes

>set up arch all comfy
>combine i3 with i3blocks
>very stable
>sudo pacman -Syyu
>come back from store
>KERNEL PANIC

Fuck this shit, back to winblows i go

I mean you could get debian stable and install everything else through ppas, flatpaks and whatever to have up to date software.

why do you lie strangers on the internet?
