Why do all of the fa/g/s on here hate this? All of the web hooks and bots that you can make on here are fun to do and have helped me develop my programming skills with captivating style. Enough people use it so that you can even make money programming scripts for people who want a higher end discord channel. I'm almost certain you have to be a friendless loser to hate something like this so much.

Discord itself is proprietary, nonfree software that spies on its useds (not even gonna call them users). It's a massive fucking botnet and privacy risk.
Talking about all the freedom and captivating development you can do with discord doesn't mean shit when discord is inherently a tyrant. It's like bragging about how high your social credit rating is in China.
