From my understanding, torrenters get caught typically because music, film, and software companies upload torrents to popular torrent sites for users to download, and then track those downloads and pursue the individuals. Basically using torrents as bait and then watching who downloads those files so they can issue a warning to their ISP who in turn issues a warning to their customer torrenting.
However, my question is, is it safe to download from sites like rutracker and torrentsmd since they are located in Russia and Moldova, and hence less likely (if at all) to have fake torrents hosted by those anti-piracy companies, and also since your ISP can only see the location of the download and not the content coming from those websites?
Basically, if your gonna torrent in the US, is it best to download from a place like Russia or no?
