>no neovim
Pig disgusting
>no MS Word
what the fuck how else do write anything
i was about to post this
>implying neovim is substantially different from vim
why would anyone use Word when LaTeX exists?
What if the editor I use the most isn't the editor I like the most?
emacs + lisp + slime
no other editor has support for lisp like emacs
>321 Votes
>8 thread replies
are you intellectually challenged?
I use Kate
Stupid pollposter forgot to enable the setting so we could pick more than one editor at once.
How fucking hard is it to type :wq?
>what does "most" mean
TextPad ftw
feels good to be part of the emacs elite
I voted for vim. But last month I changed to kakoune. It's focus on selection felt a little weird coming from vim, but I'm beginning to like it very much.
It's substantially less bloated.
>so many notepad++ plebs
ewww disgusting
Why the fuck is ed not in there? It’s the standard editor.
VS Code. I'm someone who actually gets work done instead of pajeeting with a toy editor that feels superior for making things more complicated.
where is Visual Studio? the real Visual Studio, not the meme version
kek, based
because LaTeX on windows is usually a 1GB distribution and Wordpad comes installed on windows for free
>wordpad
top lel
That's an IDE
>VS Code that high
リア充爆発しろ
why isn't MS word 2018 on there?
all these vim boomers
>other
acme
What about vscodevim, you EOP?
>bloated electron shit vs terminal editor for autists
how come there's yet not a decent modern editor?
who the fuck even uses lisp? i'm not even meming genuinely asking
Me because I love it. But really a couple companies use it like grammarly and commercial Lisp vendors still exist so obviously other companies are paying for it.
:q!
:wq
>latex
fucking nerd
using brackets. I like it.
What is emacs you filthy vi pesants?
Geany here, configured to be as much as Notepad++ but in GTK+ as possible.
>Arc
my negroid specimen
vim for c++ and PyCharm for python. Really like PyCharm though so I'm thinking of checking out CLion too

I currently use micro. It just werks and has common, sensible shortcuts.
>what is Sublime Text.
>inb4 not open source shenanigans
Come on now
>not using latex on Windows because it isn't minimalistic
>windows
???????
vim only makes sense if you type like a normal person
>Vim is still at the top and at thirty percent
>add emacs and it's nearly fifty
Thank God. Unironically my litmus test for leaving this board forever is when nu-g zoomers overtake us
micro ftw
>tfw using sublime
>Visual studio on second place
Those are the people you're talking about technology and programming with
GAS ALL MOUSEFAGS
is there a Jow Forums recommended tutorial for getting into vim and text objects?
>tfw using Atom because it looks cool

Why would you, as programmer, ever use a proprietary editor?
>No Code::Blocks
Cringe and bluepilled
:x
I'm currently writing my own editor. It's inspired by nano and micro. It's almost 2019, we need a minimal editor with sane defaults.
In terminal I use Nano,
For really stupid thinks I use gedit
For development I use jetbrains IDEs.
you convinced me
I'm in the same boat. It's nice, user friendly, and just werks. But it's a bit slow
Why is it so slow? Literally the only reason I want to dump it
>he doesn't know
Kakoune
is Xi any good?
