Took Calc 3 my first semester at school (shitloads of AP credits) .. There was a bunch of times the professor said something to the effect of "I'm not going to discuss this in detail, you should have learned the basic in linear algebra'' .. passed with a C but I had to study a good bit

Op, taking csc to learn to program is like taking mechanical engineering to be a machinist. 3/4 of the shit you learn you could do the job without, but it gives you a strong background to analyze what you’re doing.

In my university in yuroland, in the computer science faculty, this shit was in Mathematical Analysis I, if you don't pass this you don't even get to attend the 2nd year subjects. My gf who went to a better high school than I did learnt all of this in there, and was even able to pass exam with virtually no preparation (I had to study like a poorfag pleb I am tho).
