t. poorfag

.t A fool and his money are soon parted.

because they're the best

There's people who always want to have the latest greatest fastest as soon as they release, and they are able to pay for it.

>t. is in crippling debnts

Not to mention that you're literally paying more to get cucked harder.
Nvidia's drivers are pure garbage.

Because the GTX 10 series doesn't have any Ray-tracing or Tensor cores, once devs start using that shit up in games even slightly all the 10 series WILL shit the bed and it will be "Maxwell trying to emulate DX12" shit show all over again.

Lets me honest, 98% of those purchases, won't use it for nothing more but porn and playing video games.

This, it's embarrassing. This only tells NVIDIA

>FUCK US HARDER
>WE WILL STILL GIVE U MONEY AHHAHA LMAO!

Yeah thats kind of pointless but i guess thats real life, anyway i am getting a vega on 7nm if somehow managed to be better than current Vega 64 right now i am holding on my intel hd 530 playing some good old Castlevania Dracula X and Final Fantasy Mystic Quest.

These are hot in the GPU rendering world and will only get hotter when rtx cores start to get used, which should be soon.

Most high end Nvidia card owners are basically the same as crazy iphone users. They will literally buy anything nvidia releases at any price. It's a large part of the reason there's so little competition in the GPU market, AMD or any other company could release a GPU that offers 2x the performance of the nvidia flagship for the same price and they would barely gain any marketshare as the majority of people buying highend GPUs will ignore any non-nvidia product.

>These are hot in the GPU rendering world and will only get hotter when rtx cores start to get used
You can say that again

>Nvidia's drivers are pure garbage
wew lad.

>AMD or any other company could release a GPU that offers 2x the performance of the nvidia flagship for the same price
AMD shills always say this.

>anyway i am getting a vega on 7nm if somehow managed to be better than current Vega 64 right now
Considering 7nm Vega isn't intended to be developed as a display card, you're shit outta luck.

Good job taking that statement out of context.

I was expecting you to respond with
>hd7970
already had a response for that too.

Some people have much more money than you do. Cry more.

My son will get two when it drops under 2k

Some people are also fucking stupid enough to spend money on 1st gen architectures that are both slow, power hogs, and have shitty thermals.
In this case, they're using that ((vapor chamber)) horseshit to cool a literal blast furnace. Something just PRIMED for early mechanical failure.

>Some people are also fucking stupid enough to spend money on 1st gen architectures
Jokes on you. All of those people saved money by upgrading to the 2700x.

Yes, just like PhysX and HairWorks.

I trains and evaluates deep neural networks very fast, about tenfold faster than on CPU.

So the RTX series is good for waifu2x?

410.66 Unix drivers were released quite recently, I haven't seen benchmarks yet. Windows is not a viable option for deep learning.

i havent, ive never spent more than 170$ on vidia card

Why would you think I care about the opinions of a tech illiterate peasant?

muh epeen

but that wont be for so fucking long that your shiny "new" 2080ti is completely obsolete and a 5060 will blow it out of the water for an eighth of the price

NPCs do not have a will of their own.

We went 2 years on the 10 series.

We can’t go much smaller on fab, what you are saying is stupid as hell.

You can always say that because better tech will always eventually come out.

Might as well never buy a GPU.

Fucking dunce.

They can charge whatever they want for high end performance because AMD hasn't made a competitive GPU in years.

>Why do people continue to throw money at NVIDIA?
they either need it or think they need it. GPU benchmarks and things like that are generally done at ultra high everything turned up settings which gives the impression you need more than a 1050ti or a RX560 level of performance to play games at 60 fps.

>GTX 10 series doesn't have any Ray-tracing or Tensor cores
Hate to pop your bubble there but the 20 series NVidia cards will be, and in many ways already are, outdated by the time anything starts taking advantage of those Ray-tracing cards. Buying the first generation of a technology like this is foolish. Enjoy your 20 fps on a 2080ti when the 30 series shows up and a handful of games sponsored by Nvidia which actually take advantage of it show up. And I say "sponsored by Nvidia" because, if you look at the steam hardware survey, most people are not buying a high-end card; they are using a 1050/1050ti/1060. That's what game developers will optimize for.

This so much

The people in Silicon Valley making 100k+ year have to spend their money on something.

Everyone talking about RTX meme tech but nobody talking about the 20~60% gains in VR performance. If you use VR the 20xx series is a no-brainer.

>they are using a 1050/1050ti/1060
The most popular card right now is 1070/1070Ti.

Why is 2k alot for you people lmao

store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey

It's the 1060 by a wide margin.

because they also spend $600 on a shitty gaymur 144hz TN panel

>devs artificially limiting the market size of their game to "ONLY PEOPLE WITH THE LATEST $2k GPU"
yeah retard, nope. capitalism is here to protect us. through the forces of the free market people with a 10 series will enjoy gaming for the next years to come.

store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/videocard/
Not sure what you mean by "popular". If you mean sales figures that that's quite possible, but it sure ain't what people have and use. The 1060 is far more common, even the 960 is more common than the 1070. and so few have the 1070ti it's barely measurable

usually that something is rent for a shitty 1 bedroom apartment

>if you use meme tech no one uses it's a nobrainer

That's a meme. As a single person you're still making a ton of money compared to living anywhere else even with the added cost of living.

And most commute, not actually live in SV.

good thing it's just disposable income, right poorfag?

More people own a VR headset than a 1070 Ti, so according to they're the most popular accessory right now.

>Why is 2k alot for you people lmao
Because 2k is a lot for a videocard just like it's a lot for a phone. Want to sell me a brand new car for 2k? I'd buy that, that'd be a really cheap for a car. But 2k for a GPU to play games? Screw that, at 1/4th of that price there's the Playstation PRO which is a complete system, no need to buy CPU/motherboard/PSU/case in addition to a 2k GPU.

Enjoy your debt nigger XD

WTF, is that US dollars?

RTX 2080s arre around $1000 USD here in Hong Kong.

It's not entirely a meme. If you make $100k, you'll be looking at ~$63k after taxes. If you pay $3k/mo in rent you're looking at a take-home of ~$27k before utilities, food, etc.

If you make $70k in the Midwest (let's say KC), you'll be looking at ~$45k after taxes. If you pay $700/mo in rent you're looking at a take home of $36k before utilities, food, etc.

Of course every situation is different, but it's always worth looking at projected expenses and making a budget before taking a job in a high CoL area. The math rarely works in your favor without sacrificing your own quality of life.

>store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/
world is full with losers and poor people lol. sad stats.

The issue is that's not even the full chip which will be on the rtx Titan which should launch at $3k

don't forget that valleyfags tend to go out eating every night and spend an absolute huge amount of money on their meme restaurants. most of those $100k+ earners are in debt lol

>$3k for a consumer gaymur card
well, why not just shell out for a quadro and use it to make some money by doing actual work with your workstation hardware.

>disposable income
>debt
you're being extremely stupid and obnoxious

>Workstation-class hardware like NVIDIA Quadro video cards tend to receive a really bad rap in the gaming community because the cost-to-performance ratio is not anywhere near as good as the GeForce cards that are designed and optimized specifically for gaming

>he says, as he finances every thing in his life

>People with money don't exist

It's Australian Dollars, so it looks a lot higher not only due to the exchange rate, but also that our taxes our baked into our prices.

>I trains and evaluates deep neural networks very fast, about tenfold faster than on CPU.
Are you actually allowed to use the AI hardware on the consumer geforece version? I thought they gimp them via the drivers to force people to buy quadro.

They do exist, but they have money because they're not buying expensive rubbish.

>they have money because they're not buying expensive rubbish.
Or they have good jobs and are single. A single person even making $60k living in a cheap apartment would have around $3k in spending money(after all bills/savings/taxes) every single month.

>being this stupid.

I tried to go the AMD route with vega 64. In almost everything I do it's equal to a 1070, it's only substantially better in benchmarks.

So I ordered a 2080ti at MSRP from nvidia directly. Sue me, but I'm sick of AMD playing catch up, using shit drivers that cause me BSODs and total system crashes constantly, and performing terribly even though the hardware its self is amazing.

I'm a single person making around $55k and have plenty of disposable income. That's why I mentioned the example you absolute moron.

I could literally buy a new GPU every month if I didn't care about building savings.

>can't even mine because market tanked

youtube.com/watch?v=8Ae2r2IaNGI

how will nvidiots ever recover?

You're a terrible fucking father instilling your child with lethargy.

Gaming.

Nvidia right now is the only company that offers cards that can handle 4K. So you obviously pay extra for that. Blame AMD, they are stalling once again the advancement.

OP btfo by trips
/thread

Did they actually have preorders available? because i think pccasegear shows sold out even without ever having getted stocks

0 competition from AMD

>anything that's not living expenses is "disposable income"
Have fun remaining a poorfag manchild the rest of your life.

Impatient idiots who want the latest greatest. Opportunity costs be demanded.

If you can choose only one between saving money for the future and buying something it means it's not disposable income you dumb fuck.

>people
they probably had like three of each model

How many months left until you're done paying for that credit? 47?

How much I save is variable. I can set aside 1k a month. I can set aside the entire 3k. Stop acting like you know shit about my finances. You look even more stupid trying to pretend you do.

Stop trying to reason with the manchild.

Damn, better go Nvidia then in my next build...too bad AMD has all the best hardware and technolgies that devs dont even care about.

>income
>disposable

Maybe if you're a nigger or something and just throw it away on rims for your stolen bike or similar dumb shit.

>t. future social security dependent

t.paid shill
