we'll this is rather silly. Linux has a place on the desktop and laptops. If you need to create quick automated system linux is great.
Want to rename a billion files, apply a grayscale filter to a batch of images and create random collages of them, or perhaps auto turn off your computer once a twitch streamer goes offline at night, or notifications to see if there was an error on those test you let all day running on your staging server?
For any of those things you need third party software on windows or mac (There are millions of people working on manually merging excel files in this day and age).
On linux, you just need to create tiny scripts to pipe data from one program to another, and for the most part you use programs that are already on your system.
