Those are device to mount and image on them. (Like mounting an iso as a fake disc). But since you OS as not been made by T. Davis the CIA nigger programmer decided to mount every device they could at once because fuck.

i was installing kali linux on a flash drive which worked apperently, I havent restarted my computer yet to try but hey. Ive never seen 31 loops when checking my storage and dont know know what they are. Google isnt helping

type "sync" into your console and tell me if they disappear

Loop device is a pseudo-device that can serve a wide variety of purposes.
Post the output of losetup -a so we can determine what's actually mapped there.

Well, there you have it: Snaps.
Snaps are shipped as images which are then mapped as loop devices and mounted.

I installed Ububtu but hated the DE so I sudo purge/removed gnome and installed xfce. Is that what this is?

It actually works most of the time, so there's that.
Still better than Flatpack.

>calling people asshole when being wrong

>Snappy is a software deployment and package management system originally designed and built by Canonical for the Ubuntu phone operating system. The packages, called 'snaps' and the tool for using them 'snapd', work across a range of Linux distributions and allow therefore distro-agnostic upstream software deployment.

Fruit loops are the most disgusting dish in the world.

for whatever reason stock ubuntu packages a handfull of gnome apps as snaps. again for whatever reason the other flavors dont

Well thank you anons. I was not looking for technical support and my computer is working fine, I was genuinely curious about wtf those were. Rules....Jow Forums

my point exactly

I've actually asked the mods on IRC about it and they just don't want to explicitly allow racism
