Am thinking of getting a macbook pro to take part in the nanowrimo (national novel writing month) event in November, however am wondering which one I should choose.
I would potentially like to edit basic videos (premiere pro), make music (fl studio), maybe a little photoshop. But mainly for writing/watching films on the plane.
Im in the uk so I’ll use their pricing, however am a little confused as to the difference between the entry level 15 and 13 inch models (£2350 & £1249 respectively)
The 15 inch MBP is larger and has a 6 core processor whereas the 13 inch has a dual core at entry level, going up to quad.
Why would you use FL studio when there's Logic on mac to use?

Honestly it depends what you're editing entirely and how much you value portability, a 13" will handle music creation and editing, photoshop and light video editing, but if you're going to be rendering 4K content you wouldn't get good results on either system, especially if you're using Premiere instead of FCP.

I don't know if the issue has been solved, but the keyboards on MacBooks have been really terrible for the last few years. By all means, get a Mac if you like them. I do recommend you to try some other laptop if you're going to have extended writing sessions.

Nah the keyboards are fine, I'm using a 15 inch 2017 and yes the keyboards on the 2015 are better but I don't hate them nearly as much as I thought I would, they're clickier than the old ones with a bit less travel.

So for one reason or another I got my hands on a macbook and now I can't stop using it. It's definitely inferior to other laptops when ignoring brand value and aesthetics, but the one thing that's keeping me from other laptops is the trackpad, specifically the tactile feedback you get when you put pressure on it, on top of the perceived latency and all that. Does a laptop with equal or superior trackpads to a macbook even exist?
