It's their first mainstream 8-core after all.

Even professionals can't cool this shit.

Finally. intel back at the top of the benches with no competition. Thats what we like to see.

less is better?. Doesn't this mean Intel is finished and bankrupt?

no goy, it's a feature you see

cum-based thermal goop

well my 2700x draws 170 W in a torture loop at 4.2Ghz and i doubt it's going sub 130 unless you undervolt the default so that graph is slightly biased

Oh wow. Tech Deals is a terrible tech tuber with 300,000+ subscribers. He didn't include any temperature testing for the 9900K because it was too hot (even though he has been jerking off to the "soldered TIM" for weeks during his tech talk videos.

Also, Aida64 produces 20C degrees lower temperatures than prime94 or Blender

Also also; he used the fucking stock cooler for Ryzen CPU but used a $100 premium CPU cooler for the 9900K, JUST LIKE PRINCIPLED TECHNOLOGIES FIASCO

Fuck this wife beating pedophile

Poor guy hardly has any reviewers. He needs those sponsorshops.

And Aida64 stress test is meant to be a stability test, NOT a heat test.
It's very good as a stability test. That's what I test my OC with first.

Attached: 956eg46skxr11.jpg (742x500, 96K)

AMDfags are always trying to call to whichever new intel released as "bulldozer 2.0", but fails to mention that there are legitimate performance gains.

clarification:
the 4.2ghz oc is of course without pbo because it's a stable all core oc at a set voltage without boosting

Is the techpowerup review fake news? They mention temps being great and lower power usage than 8700k.

Sure you should use PBO under normal use. But that test was stock settings.
+30% power draw with PBO enabled sounds right.

I don't understand how you thought your post was any sort of contradiction to Tom's Hardware test which included stock power draws (204.6W in the case of the 9900k)

>Is the techpowerup review fake news
Yes, of course.

Intel's power consumption is proportional to their CPU price

They added a furnace feature to keep you warm in the winter. How generous. You should surely buy their product goy. After all they were thinking of you when they made it.

Amd still cant compete. I stream on twitch when i play mp games so i run intel.

Attached: intel-9900k-review-fortnite-streamer-side.png (892x442, 30K)

>Steve can't help shilling the meme obsolete liquid metal thingy

I'm fine with 120fps 1% lows while streaming for half the price.

What's the problem? It's winter and intel just released a CPU that doubles as a space heater which makes it a smarter purchase, don't worry by the time the weather turns and summer comes around again they'll have a new platform on the market on a new chipset anyway.

Loving theese Fake AMD edited Screenshots.
Intel BTFO AMD So much they have to resort to editing pictures

I like to be competitive so i need the higher frames that intel offers. Amd is a good value cpu.

Cmmon Intel, we both know that you can push higher. Reach the stars, with your CPUs.
Btw what does "95W" even mean anymore? Might as well use Bungaloo marks next time, about as accurate.

It's OVER 200W!

Attached: 2354324355432234143254325423.jpg (656x497, 104K)

>Btw what does "95W" even mean anymore
That's the base clock TDP.
Which means that 9900k at 3.6ghz has the same heat dissipation as 2700x at 4.1ghz.
Go figure

Noooo, that's antisemistic.
Delit.

Btw, did anyone test the 9900K(elvin) with stock Intel fan?

It doesn't exist.
Baseline is NH-D15, which is the best aircooler out there.
And it still reaches 100°C at any attempt at oc.
Actually, 3rd party watercoolers are the fucking same.
I'll let you imagine what 100°C water means.

>I'll let you imagine what 100°C water means.

Most expensive cup of tea i'll ever drink.

Well, I don't think you're that stupid, but it means evaporation.
It destroys your water loop in multiple ways.
First you get no contact area. Which means heat doen't get transferred.
then you get overpressure, which means your loop will fucking fail eventually.
You'd just know if water vapor loops were a thing.

(((Water cooled with ((((((INDUSTRIAL CHILLER))))))

Is Intel trying to pull off some kind of George Bush mission accomplished slight of hand? Who did Tom's Hardware even include that in the stock lineup?

Attached: 1538596850938.jpg (720x529, 33K)

Is the 9900K gonna be the meme like with the 1st gen ryzen where some people will get better performance by undervolting?

is the next intel cpu going to require pcie power cables, like gpus?
This has to be close to hitting the power supply limit of the cpu cable

So if i want to stream with an extra 10 fps i have to pay an additional $200?
Why do people allow this to happen?

There have been extra 4-pin power connectors on motherboards for the CPU for years now. Although the new "consumer" xeon has two 24-pin power connectors.

Intel and Nvidia fanboys are the lowest form of life. You cannot expect them to actually think before buying can you?

CPU cable supports 155W for 4-pins and 235W for the 8-pins. Above that, resistive losses really start coming into play, and at around 25% over those values you start running the risk of damaging the connector/board (shit starts melting, yo)

>There have been extra 4-pin power connectors on motherboards for the CPU for years now.
yes that's what I mean by the cpu cable
>Although the new "consumer" xeon has two 24-pin power connectors.
and this answers my question

why did he spend like 50% of the review talking about fucking streaming bullshit?

wtf, how?

Because reviewers know that they're reviewing the same thing so he tries to make it different.

It's the same reason why he shilled for liquid metal in the beginning.

>5Ghz out of the box
>still want to overclock
>complain its hot

These reviewers are just asking for too much.

Is there any reason to buy a 9900k over and 8700 or 8086k?
If you're a video editor or do tasks that need core you can just wait for the 12c24t amd chip coming soon.
If you're gaming you'd be paying $150 extra dollars for like 8% more performance.

ok just because it's different doesn't mean it's worthwhile. Is the GN audience all fucking pro twitch streamers or something?

Bulldozer wasn't competitive, it was slower than anything Intel had

The 9900k demolishes all the mainstream Ryzens that AMD reviewers have to compare it to Threadripper

AMD shills on Jow Forums keep posting power/temp charts because its the only thing they have

>just wait for the 12c24t amd chip coming soon.
(lol

The 3700X is just an 8-core 8700k that will be slower than the 9900k but cheaper

SOPA

Holy fuck, how did they manage to make it consume twice as much as the 2700X?

>Is the GN audience all fucking pro twitch streamers or something?
No, those charts are useless and he only puts those on to differentiate himself from the rest.

Anandtech, Tom's Hardware and Hardware Unboxed all do in-depth stat-by-stat reviews so reviewers like GN have to do different shit to get Jewtube views.

who is a pro streamer more likely to watch, GN or LTT?

Pro streamers don't give a shit about tech reviewers.

then who is that content for?

It almost sounds like you're making it up as you go along, user, and went and looked up what PBO does.

>The 9900k demolishes all the mainstream Ryzens
You know the 2700X is actually competing against the i7 9700K, right?

It's actually even cheaper than the 9700K. The i9 is competing against Threadripper at that price tag.

The i9 is basically an overpriced gaming CPU.

>The 9900k demolishes all the mainstream Ryzens that AMD reviewers have to compare it to Threadripper
Because the price is comparable you moron.

""""demolishes"""" with 10% more performance? kek

This shit is like reading Intel vs. Bulldozer all over again. Enjoyed those 6 months of victory while it lasted AMDjeets?

Fuck off Avenger cuck. Thanos did nothing.

Just wait for 100core, 200 thread 10Ghz Ryzen 3700X with raytracing and 10 tensor cores!

Except that this time the Ryzens offer excellent price, performance, electricity consumption and good temperatures. The Intel housefire costs TWICE as much for 10% more performance and will burn down your house.

It's Intel that has the Bulldozer this time, except it performs better than the Bulldozer ever did.

>Enjoyed those 6 months of victory while it lasted AMDjeets?
this is unironically what 9900k is. rehashlake has nothing on zen 2

Attached: ScreenShot_20181019231728.png (1452x714, 77K)

33-50% better performance with 11% higher power consumption. Nice comparison.
Also this is at 4.2GHz vs 5GHz on Intel.

Now queue the just wait for Zen 2. The best thing AMDjeets are good at is waiting for a day that never comes lmao

Zen 2 is rumored to have 11% IPC improvements, nowhere near enough to even come close to what Intel has available right now.

It's also sad that you have to compare an upcoming 7nm to Intel's ageing 14nm arch.

>33-50% better performance
HAHAHAHA, no. That's PT's bullshit statistics there.

No idea where you're getting the 11% higher power consumption from. The chip literally pulls 205-250W under loads like Blender.

>he's not even getting paid for this shit

Attached: 1502884282296.gif (244x248, 114K)

I love it how AMD shills are trying to recover from this utter devastation in the consumer segment. Why not actually shill what AMD is good at, the HEDT Threadripper?

>11% higher

PLUS a clock speed bump to 4.5GHz on an engineering sample. Final product probably OCs to 4.7GHz:
