Did that fatty in OP's pic sit on it?

How did I do?
Did I make the right decision for the price?

>mx brown
user...

What's the problem with browns? The only options were silent reds, reds, browns, & blues.
I mean I can still change it since it's going to take a while to ship.

silent red is the best option out of those

You're clearly joking

Are there any good 60% boards or kits for ISO? All I can think of is Pok3r.

so i have a leopold fc980m beige colored, ive also replaced all the swithces for kalih box blacks. how much is this worth? i dont use the keyboard; should i sell it now or should i wait some years until its not sold anymore?

tell me about the x220 keyboard..

GH60 DZ60 for kits
Ducky, Leopold and Varmilo for prebuilts

Anne Pro, Tofu, V60 Mini, Ducky one 2 Mini.

I have the V60 Mini which is pretty good, but the Pok3r is supposed to be really good (used other Vortex keyboards but not the pok3r)

Attached: kbp_v60.jpg (852x570, 101K)

ok I got mixed up with Ansi and ISO, I have also not seen an ISO 60%

Alps SKCM White. You guys like my new board?

Attached: Photo Oct 19, 6 23 37 PM.jpg (2420x1815, 1.21M)

ok

Planning on desoldering the switches and putting it in something less embarrassing then?

it's from this set

flickr.com/photos/26499496@N04/sets/72157671684545553/

Attached: 29678700854_aa32b12585_k.jpg (2048x1365, 686K)

what's wrong with that keyboard? why is it so embarrassing?

Nah, I have a set of SKCL greens I plan on using for my next build. I was considering bringing this piece of actual shit into work for fun. I don't even like clicky switches. This thing cost me like $30, which is ridiculous considering the switches.

(this is the actual board i use regularly, sorry for shitpost)

Case - KBDfans Tofu 60% black

PCB - DDmilli 60% Bluetooth PCB

Switches - Gateron Silent Reds

Plate - DZ60 CNC Brass plate

Keycaps - EnjoyPBT 9009

Lube - Krytox GPL 205 Grade 0

brown is shit. That's why they call it brown. When you press on it, it feels like there is literaly shit stuck in your switches.

what is the SMOOTHEST keyboard?

Attached: chino_mahou.jpg (1339x1947, 311K)

Well they're all shit desu then right..?
Reds feel just as bad and are musshy , & click clack blues are unnecessarily loud

does it have to be one that you can buy on amazon?

no

A pristine honeywell hall effect board. That or apparently the wooting optical board is pretty smooth according to chyros.

does it have to be a keyboard that was made in this century?

is this ok?
>mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_list&m=74

Any keyboard with these will workyoutube.com/watch?v=6TAgLC_fluk

The APT boards are fine too.

they are smooth switches, but not THE smoothest

Your layout matters more than the keyboard. Use Colemak.

How are hako royals?
How are hakos in your opinion?

Attached: 1528635874083.png (419x398, 210K)

unironically what is the best gateron switch that isn't loud as fuck

zilents :^)

Their silent series of course.
The ones with internal damping

which silents tho

why zilents v2 of course

The best Gateron switches are the linears, insofar as their improvements over the legitimate cherry go. Red and Black are much smoother with Gateron, so just get the silent variant of one of those I guess.

No, just brown.

aliexpress.com/item/KBDfans-mechanical-keyboard-switch-gateron-silent-switch/32837433349.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dBaH61X
these ones

you're shit

I would go for the ttc silents though, except if you want tactile.

POMF!

>blue badge

Attached: dsag.png (457x380, 262K)

would be a great set if these two fags didnt put themselves in them

>go to work
>doing shit
>clank clank clank CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK clank clank CLANK CLANK
>the entire day
>giving me nuts

How the fuck do you guys put up with mechanical keyboards? I don't even own one but hearing someone else use one that was a good 12 feet away and behind a wall makes me want to kill myself.

Attached: 1538694283034.jpg (495x362, 29K)

Doesn't change the fact the browns are also shit.

I know you are, we've been over this

Are zilents the only silenced MX mount switch that doesn't have no/pathetic tactility?

people who use clicky switches are actually retarded

linears are the only good switches, lubed and silenced.

Attached: inserthere.jpg (633x476, 92K)

calling browns the worst switch is mech community groupthink and pretension.

Browns have a noticeable bump at just around the actuation point and they are nice and light.

Yes I have tried all the meme vintage switches and they may not be as smooth as ultrasonic cleaned honeywell hall effect switches and the tactile bump might not be as sharp as kailh THICC CLICCs but they feel a lot better than clapped out dell membranes from 2011

No, it's because I owned an mx brown board. Compared to pretty much any other tactile switch they're crap.

the prettiest keyboard i have ever seen..

you're crap, just like your opinion

Aliaz switches. I heard that the new revision of zilents is supposed to be more tactile then aliaz, but until then aliaz is the most tactile MX mount silent switch

Last I checked aliaz switches have the same bump as mx browns. Not sure how that can be more tactile than the zilents.

Attached: aliaz.jpg (1080x1080, 40K)

You know it's true.

Attached: keyboarddontclick.gif (650x411, 13K)

You are an obnoxious faggot and this is why no one wants to be around you.

That doesn't look like browns. I have the 70g variant and their tactility feels very similar to my 65g zealios despite being silenced. That said their bump is more drawn out towards the end which makes them feel less snappy then zealios

It looks identical to mx brown m8.

Attached: B7IDp.jpg (1200x803, 113K)

>white vs brown

Please stop the racism. They are equals.

Feels more like zealios tho.
Also those bumps don't look at all like one another.

Get your eyes checked user.

That must be older tooling since the general consensus is that aliaz switches are way more tactile then gat browns. And I have to agree with that.

Feel free to take a macro shot of the stem then, and compare it to the other pics of the stems. Just 'cause some assholes on reddit say it feels more tactile doesn't mean it really is. They actually believe that changing the spring somehow changes how tactile a switch is (hint: the magnitude of the bump is the same).

What. Why would get fake browns when the original browns are already bad?

damn she blub af

So I get this is somewhat subjective, but what would be considered the best mechanical backlit keyboard? Either prebuilt or kit is fine. Been using my old Model M rescued from a frozen wasteland for a while but I like backlit too.

Attached: modelm.jpg (1632x1224, 472K)

They feel mushy. The Jews invented them so you're forced to buy another keyboard.

just learn proper touchtyping nigger

I like my browns just fine.

>bring tinder date back after getting he sauced up on 30$ cocktails
>sees desk
>ummm user i thought you were a software engineer

I press linear keys so hard they click anyway.

How about you answer the fucking question or get out instead?

Attached: 1538357578687.jpg (269x211, 8K)

are there any keyboards that don't have a right shift, right ctrl, and right alt keys?
I literally never use them

closest you're gonna get, hipster

Attached: kHuFISV.jpg (2822x2117, 870K)

>all that wasted space where those keys went
jeez. I was hoping they would shift the arrow keys over or something
might as well get a standard layout at that point

if that's what you want get an old apple m0116

>i am a software engineer
>i have a tinder date tomorrow
>bringing her to my place

do i have my normal keyboard out or my retard keyboard?

on the one hand, my normal keyboard is nice and cool, on the other hand, if she finds my retard keyboard funny in a stupid sort of way, that's a good signal that she's cool and not a fucking idiot.

>wasted space on the chassis
>ugly as hell cherry logo on return
>completely unnecessary side legends
>having caps lock where ctrl should be
>led window on caps lock
>useless branding logo as the centerpiece

i'll never understand why people value this aesthetic. on the bright side, the caps look dye sublimated and good quality, though it's kind of ruined by a few stand-out shitty caps. also why do you feel the need to rep your switch manufacturer on your obviously mechanical board? and cherry, of all brands?

something like this would be ideal for me

Attached: 1536042763677.png (896x374, 23K)

bump

lets settle this once and for all, what is the absolute best switch?

Attached: cac80b96-13eb-4c18-bf05-d5af365c50dc_1024x1024_7528d66b-83d1-4027-bbd9-6fc0ed0b6078_1024x1024.jpg (960x576, 71K)

3278 beamsprings. If you mean something readily available, box navy.

reds, because blue is to loud and brown is for niggers, everything else is esoteric

-t.linearpussy

Attached: 1508466351708.png (547x454, 262K)

My subjective preference is objectively best, of course

Attached: smug-anime-face.jpg (544x600, 86K)

So yeah... where should I look if I wanted to buy a IBM Model M5-2? Pic related

Check ebay, up WTB ads on deskthority, geekhack, etc.

Has anybody here tried Max Keyboards keycaps? Their custom keycap option appears tempting, but I'm worried they might be flimsy or shitty.
