Because it's not forced upon you, fucking moron.
Open source just means that the source code is available.
Several companies make money with open source software, since the money they make is from providing technical support to open source systems.
"free" software on the other hand, can be argued to be somewhat communist (or coercive), since it uses intellectual property laws to force those that use "free" software in their project to publish the source code.
Open source on the other hand is completely capitalistic, since it's voluntary and has no contradictions with private property and making profit.
Thst's a good thing!
Is being allowed to buy a car, open it up, look at the parts, repair it yourself, and modify it "communist"?
Look how this fat fuck parades himself around as some kind of "enlightened patrician". MacOS is better than Linux. Just face it.
>t. don't know what communism is
That's a really good thing!
Open source definitely isn't, it's just the state of having the source code publicly accessible. "Free Software" is closer but still isn't because optionally redistributing value that is free to make copies of is not at all comparable to forcibly redistributing value that is costly to make copies of.
It is if you ask Tesla.
that's what makes it great

You are making the claim, the burden of proof is on you.
Who doesn't.
reifags, for one.
Do you have a single piece of evidence to back that up?
Communism is inherently a dictatorship, open source is free as in free market. So it's more like liberal capitalism. Also, it's a meritocracy.
Fpbp
Communism is based because it triggers liberals and Jow Forumsacks alike.
You don't go to gulag after bad harvest.
open source doesn't kill millions of innocent people
I wished more people would click this link. It's the absolute red pill.
I'm a Communist and pretty well read on Marx. Open source software is not "communist", and you're using the word as if it applies to anything other than a mode of production. It doesn't.
Sharing things isn't communist, the government "doing things" isn't communist, having to distribute your source code if you distribute a binary isn't communist, etc.
However, you will find that Communists often support the idea of open source (and open source software), because it's the negation of the current order of preventing freedom for profit. That's not to say free/open software can't be profitable, but the profitability no longer relies on the creation of fictitious property to be granted a monopoly over by a bourgeois liberal "democracy".
Not actual people.
Even Asukamen like misato.
Reifags are the plebbest of plebs. Misato is the true patrician choice.
