Dillo. If you use Windows you should just use IE, since quality and privacy are obviously not things you care about.

For some reason Vivaldi is fucking up on me when I open a bookmarked site. It always opens up the same site twice for no reason.

>discord
>stupid SSID
reddit and twitter are there because i was looking for specific stuff. discord's shit obv but literally everyone uses it at this point and there's no converting those kinda people to IRC or XMPP.
also you try and come up with a better SSID that isn't MANUFACTURER1827
just busting your balls mate
how does Vivaldi compare with other browsers RAM management wise? Is it a hungry bitch like chrome?
Not him, but mine is using around 3.45GB of RAM with 11 tabs open and a bunch of extensions. I don't care though as I still have 20GB of RAM free.
Chrome because it runs well and I don't really give a shit
>proprietary browser
why are you even here? do you not care about your freedom?
Source is available, just not the UI shit. Unless you read through the source code of every program, you have zero clue if it's even safe.
free software is not about being able to read source code. it's about being free as a user.
gnu.org
If you can't or don't read the source code of that free software, it doesn't matter.
yes it DOES matter since any person that uses software can read that and change and distribute this source code and not just me
You're putting your trust in other people. You also assume that a large percentage of users actually read that shit. Do you read the ToS for everything you signup for, not just software? Not to mention that most closed source software is just better. There's a reason why AVID & Adobe dominate the video editing market.
Firefox beta
open source more like open sores amirite?
why close source then if nobody is reading it? i'll tell you why, because if it's publicly available then anyone can examine it independently. it doesn't have a central organ, thus you don't need to trust anybody, you can prove or disprove any issue regarding source code yourself and contribute to it. and even if it's not the case, it's my immutable civil right to have access to source code of software i'm using, to be able to modify and share it. i don't care if you consider proprietary software "better" because it doesn't even worth using in the first place if it's not free. freedom is more important than convenience.
Chrome because I have plenty of RAM like a normal person.
nobody is free nobody is emancipated from the jew
Never answered my question, do you read every ToS contract you get for everything you signup for, not just software? I take it you use libre-linux? What about the software on your phone? Is it all open-source?
Based Moon.
this
i usually skim through main points in tos, not reading that entirely
>software on your phone
free os named lineage os
see monkey
Lynx
So you skim it, but don't know 100% what you're agreeing to? Are all the drivers you use on your computer and phone open-source as well? Have you read through all the source code yourself? Do you use a credit card?
I am careful in how I use the Internet.
I generally do not connect to web sites from my own machine, aside from a few sites I have some special relationship with. I usually fetch web pages from other sites by sending mail to a program (see git.savannah.gnu.org
I occasionally also browse unrelated sites using IceCat via Tor. Except for rare cases, I do not identify myself to them. I think that is enough to prevent my browsing from being connected with me. IceCat blocks tracking tags and most fingerprinting methods.
Chrome
You can read all of Vivaldi's source code. Even the UI stuff.
Does it use chrome addons?
Idiot, do you also read the .js before using it?
Do you read the source code of the servers you access?
Honestly this. Who cares if it's """free""" or not. If I have access to the source I can still do whatever the fuck I want with it.
Firefox
firefox on my desktop
safari and opera on my macbook
internet and chrome on my phone
Firefox.
Hey, it only eats all the GPU memory and crashes the desktop compositor once a week these days. Maybe webrender will fix it.
Yes
it's the point, i don't have to memorize 100% all the text if i know that it's at least not hidden and freely available. i may not use free software only but i'm getting there as most of the software i use everyday is free, especially something basic like a web browser.
i block js
Safari is the Internet explorer of browsers. I've encountered more incompatibilities with safari than with IE. Fuck that piece of trash. Many of the JS bloat you get mostly just fix stuff for that utter shitstain of a browser.
Chrome, because the others are all flawed, and I don't care if google knows what kind of porn I like.
For me the issue is higher ram usage over time
Based.
this
palemoon for desktop and waterfox for mobile

Firefox on win/linux and chrome on android
If you wanted serious answers, you should've provided a poll link and asked somewhere else besides Jow Forums, you stupid fuck.
Firefox on desktop. Brave on mobile.
This is objectively superior.
Falkon
Seems like your browser doesn't support bookmarks or you just know about them in the first place.
Isnt some of it hidden?
Chromium, was getting memory leaks(? on firefox
Otter browser
Is anyone else using an old version of DownThemAll with Pale Moon? Mine just stopped working. Now I get this extra menu with a ton of options... none of which do anything.
I get memory leaks on both its just a function of time/tabs open and its worse if those tabs have video players in them even if the video is done buffering. Even worse for live video.
Been using Firefox since last year, recently changed to Chromium.
>DEEPIN
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
old firefox, only way to have blank your monitor plugin to work.
i'll decide how the web looks, thank you.
deepin ur ass haha
Yes it's chromium / same engine
I use this even though its kind of botnet as my chrome and opera pre-version-11 replacement. I also use waterfox, pale moon, and comodo icedragon (firefox replacement)
nu-Firefox, nu-opera, nu-chrome are all not for me anymore. Pale moon is my main.
I'm open to trying other ones. I didnt like midori or torch or brave or edge.
Underrated
Its wau better than chrome for memory usage. Tbh its the main reason I switched to it.
I still use dolphin on mobile tho.posting from dolphin zero right nao
This is the most Jow Forums answer in the thread. Bonus points for send-to-mpv :^)
ENJOY YOUR BLOATED SPYWARE GAYBOI.
Give me reasons to take the iridium pill
