I have come to the conclusion that this trap is below average and a tryhard.
His penis is probably less then 3 inches at this point

Are you me? Why do you say compromised?

1. G1100 router 2. Firmware version 02.01.00.05 3. Yup, but enterprise gear that can handle 1gbps WAN throughput is expensive.
Eli King
>Why do you say compromised? VPNFilter. But you should be ok unless you're still using the default chink firmware.
William Phillips
I don't understand. Are you using a compromised router? Why not reset it to factory defaults?
Ethan Long
I meant it's one of the compromised models.
Matthew Nelson
Oh snap I just checked and one of the routers I have is compromised (841n) I guess it's all fine as long as I don't download and run some retarded shit
Lucas Lewis
>What model router do you have? ZyXel keenetic extra ii
>2) What firmware do you use? Is it up to date? Whatever latest version it managed to fetch through auto update.
>3) Have you considered business-grade routing? No. I have only 3 devices so nothing advanced I'd really need
Adam Allen
>Have you considered business-grade routing? What now?
>1) What model router do you have? Asus AC68U >2) What firmware do you use? Is it up to date? Asuswrt-Merlin. I think I'm 1 version behind but I have been too lazy to upgrade >3) Have you considered business-grade routing? Yes, but getting 1Gbps WAN-LAN NAT doesn't seem to come cheap. I'm happy with what my router can do.
Jaxon Wright
i slapped a luch version on a wdr 3600 but i lost interest on bringing it to my own liking is there a better custom fw for it?

Hey Jow Forums, where should I learn more about what I should be doing with my router.

I want her to live a life free from misery and probably people like me, so I think I'm going to find someone else to obsess over, but I also want to watch her eat spaghetti. So conflicted
Couldnt you just black list 4chans ip @ 104.16.116.22one / its domain Jow Forums.org?
Yes most company with a tech will have Cisco or juniper. I know JunOs is *BSD based last time I touched one.
I haven't seen HP before in business besides cabinet switches but people say its common. Since I primarily had experience with telecom I saw a fuck ton of Alcatel-Lucent, Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco and Nortel equipment... but I was on the refurb EOL end of shit so maybe I'm right but about 6 years out of date, I just tested equipment really so I'm effectively a brainlet who happens to know how to get a serial connection to tell me system specs and licenses on every type of router and switch in NA but literally nothing more.
Also if anyone has ever had to deal with Ciena 4200s I'm really sorry, that thing is a pain in the fucking ass.
And idk if anyone else worked telecom, but has anyone else touched Dragonwave equipment? I still have no idea what it did besides its official name being a microwave and its OS was weird as fuck, it all ran commands through commands get/set.

Good point. I guess two ways to tackle it are to either:
make a 2nd administrative account on a router that supports it and use it solely to block it. Flaw is that you could reset router or just use your phone.
The second option, which is a harder one but much more rewarding and sustainable, is to overcome the addiction. I'm not a psychiatrist and never suffered with it myself, but a lot of vidya addicted friends find exercise to help a lot. Really at the end of the day a person suffering from addiction will find a way to subvert himself (go to friends house / cafe / reset router / use phone) and the only way is to work on yourself.
Good luck with all of it to that user btw, its something a lot of people have (like social media addiction) but are insecure about treating it b/c others don't recognize it yet. I have faith you can get out of it though
Ayden Diaz
what is lede? I use ddwrt on mine, would install pihole but for some reason I couldn't when I tried for the last time

I run sophos utm 9 on a thinkserver i got for cheap. It runs IP, ATP, filtering and ssl openvpn. Hell of a router.

pfSense 2.4 I'm using pfBlockerNG but realized that a DNS firewall isn't good enough. Can I use an easylist subscription on a real firewall to actually block requests to ad-services at the network level?
Samuel Howard
This, this.
It's ridiculous how often people solely rely on WiFi and then complain that their ISP is shit when there's like three walls between the router and the client.

How are yiu using the internet without a router?
You do know that routers and access points are not the same thing, right? And all-in-ones are shit.
>You do know that routers and access points are not the same thing, right? And all-in-ones are shit.
I dont know shit but i understand your point. I just have an isp modem. I dont own a smartphone and no wifi in the house

Ubiquity Edge router, default current firmware Archer C7 as a wireless AP. Runs DDWRT
Why should I upgrade? DDWRT seems great in my naivety?
Carson Harris
connect your phone to the internet using your cellular provider-ads connect your phone to the internet using your local network with a DNS firewall-ads because you have to clear the DNS cache
oh no my phone can't clear the DNS cache and any plebs who use my network won't know to clear their DNS cache either
Jason Wilson
>using a consumer router as a wireless AP nigga you what
Jack Lewis
I've never had that happen. And people have used different android phones and iphones on my network. Sucks for you though. Also, you should be blocking ads on your phone too.
Landon Russell
nigga what phone has adblocking on it without modifying the phone by jailbreaking or rooting it
Jace Peterson
If you don't want to root then you're stuck with something like blokada.

1) Meraki MX64 2) Most recent stock firmware from Cisco. 3) Might already be depending on your definition. Upgrading is literally pointless when all I have in my routing table is a default route to my ISP.
Although I'd never date her(him) I do have to say she(he) knows how to look cute in some pics.

I'm running Lede with adblock and SQM. I'm afraid the latter won't run properly because of poor router hardware, but I don't know what are the minimal/recommended specs. Bufferbloat seems to have gotten better though.

Archer C60 used as an access point because third world ISP doesn't let you use bridge mode on the supplied modem-router, and I am too retarded to config Bridge Mode on my own. The Archer is using stock firmware but haven't upgrade ever since buying it. This thread encouraged me to upgrade firmware. I am thinking of using OpenWRT in the future but for now, the stock firmware supplies all my need and works well.
