USA salary is inflated by Sillicon Valley where if you have a 90k salary, you live in a van.

Because we don't go bankrupt off of a minor illness.

Essentially this. Shit is fucking bananas.

>"A median one-bedroom went for $2,120 and a two-bedroom for$2,660in Mountain View. Rents stood at $2,150for a one-bedroom and$2,690 in Santa Clara; and$2,470and$3,100in Palo Alto"

That's true, you just die from it after not receiving care within a reasonable amount of time.

Americans still have a higher net income even after rent because their taxes are lower

LMAO

there is a shortage of skilled labor in the US, thus higher prices.
european skilled labor is much more abundant, thus lower prices.
according to edward connor, managing director of bain capital
youtube.com/watch?v=HrP7Cb4TIEY

Attached: 1539672664583.jpg (1920x1200, 1.29M)

This too, good luck getting a good plumber for less than $200/hour in silly cone death valley.

plumbers are not skilled labor.
skilled labor as connor defines it are people in the 10-5% IIRC. so people with "deeply specialized" knowledge in STEM and/or business. so i would say MBAs and MSEs or better

Attached: 1539547249192.jpg (1920x1080, 250K)

They're in very short supply so they get to charge good coin for something 99% of people can't do.

Maybe not as skilled as a SJW programmers but still skilled regardless.

user, thats more a reflection of the cost of doing business in the area. not a shortage.

How much of an advantage comes from having English as a native language?

Try changing a water heater by yourself you stupid fuck.

Attached: 1538686613348.png (500x650, 195K)

watch the video, retards.

Attached: 1539885255008.jpg (1536x2028, 807K)

If that were true than there would so much competition employers wouldn't be paying their own plumbers up to 90K/year. This is what happens when you tell kids they can be anything when they grow up.

>"Average Plumber Yearly Salary in California. Plumbers earn an average yearly salary of$57,786. Salaries typically start from $31,353 and go up to $97,047."

sokanu.com/careers/plumber/salary/california/

you can open up a youtube video and learn how to do that in 10mins.

Those rent prices are basically the same as London you brainlet and they have less taxes. Americans have far high prosperity.

Yeah man watching a video for 10 minutes magically grants you a decade of experience in plumbing and all the training before that. Enjoy your flood.

Attached: your_off_ya_chops_mate.png (442x434, 176K)

Doesn't it vary state to state?

That's not the truth at all. Europeans just have shitty bureaucracy and poor tech companies and they also embrance le shitty socialism and shitty globalism.

No proof of such case and you are more likely to get a shitty illness from A&E shitholes in London you fucking brainlet. Americans push the medicine industry further, not the bureaucrats. Muh free healthcare. NPC.

Not sure about the taxes in commiefornia but I know on the east cost you basically get to keep ~60% of what you earn if you get close to 100k/year.

I'll be waiting to charge you up the ass you mong.

t. plumber

sillyconman valley salaries inflate the US average

Damn straight and that's why Europoors will never get it (not including myself), they are so used to be under the kosh of the elite. Yes, more socialism please.

I make 80k in NJ and I'm only a junior level developer. i know plenty of people making over 120k at senior level positions and more as leads or architects. 3-bed town homes are anywhere from 2,100 to 2,500 usually so if you're splitting it with a roommate or 2 it's very affordable. And if you want more money NYC is a stone's throw away.

Pretty pathetic desu, if you compare even Boston/Texas/New York salaries you'll find they still earn more. Kek.

i do all the irrigation and plumbing work in my house myself.
by learning from youtube videos.

>having roommates past the age of 20

You europeans make peanuts as it is, you really should be making better financial decisions

Because we have to drag everyone else out of poverty too. Moved to the capital here in Norway to break the average, but really want to move to the US.

Salaries mean jackshit, look into purchase parity and reality is way different.

Nothing wrong with being self taught.

I make 130k in Georgia.

How much are you making a year in NOK?

t. Bergenser

This. You make much more in england than you do in portugal but maybe you're not as bad in portugal as you would think from the salary since everything is cheaper.

You have genuinely made my day, thank you user. Shame you didn't become a certified plumber, you have the drive most lack.

> highest taxes on the planet
> "free"

I'm literally getting 400€/month to go to uni.
Too poor to pay and I'm still in one of the best uni in my country.
Also I don't pay transport.
I can break my leg and get free operation and hospital stay.
I'm ok with taxes if life is as easy as now.

Paid for by people who work for a living

Are you retarded? By every measurement index of ppp the 1st world Europeans like the french, germans, arguably the Brits, and Scandinavians have lower purchasing power

Not him, but it sure as hell beats having several hundred thousand USD in debt for 20 years.

US cost of life is higher

Let me move to your country Blonde man

Where? Everything in Europe is way more expensive, why I can get a 2L of Mountain Dew, Flaming Hot Cheetos, and a bottle of lube all for $6 in the US, whereas in Europe I would need a liscense for the Cheetos and €9

Really? How much does a gtx 1080ti cost for you fellows over there

One of those people will be the person you're replying to. People actually have a sense of identity and duty to their country in most europoor nations (even if they don't realize it) and there is a large cultural stigma against abusing public resources like healthcare and free education if you're not going to use it help out your fellow countrymen.

can we just accept that the big4 pay better than euro stuff

You literally have a debt for life with higher taxes

>3 bed
What the fuck

Yes but I'm not defending euros, and USA is definitely not in the first place. That's my point.

Can we just all agree that Europe is irrelevant in the tech world? They’ve literally contributed nothing of value to software ever and their education is so bad they all have to get a masters before anyone will hire them. It’s really no wonder they get paid so shit.

I will be making 565 000 NOK/year for 37,5 hr work week + 5 weeks paid vacation. + I've got 10% of company profits divided equally by all full time employees which is usually around 22 - 55k NOK/year and paid overtime.

For a programmer, it's much better to have C as your native language than English.

>They’ve literally contributed nothing of value to software ever
Confirmed for not knowing shit.

That's what shitty programmers think

There are actually a few European countries with better GDP (PPP) per capita than the USA.

That's not too bad. What programming languages are you working with, and what industry?

Attached: 2018-10-20-180409_319x710_scrot.png (319x710, 50K)

Literally Brazil has done more for programming than any country in Europe

You are legitimately fucking retarded. Both Turing and Dijkstra were Europeans.

Is this after tax?

>GDP (PPP) per capita
We're talking about wages, not the GDP.

I will be working in C#. You could say it's towards the oil industry. We're building the computer systems on those refined fuel stations found at any ship industry area. Where they get the refined fuel from oil tankers, and it's distributed to oil trucks.

It's also where all the different marketing types of fuels are made, like fuealsave, vpower and all that shit. All from the same refinery.

>Turing
Church’s thesis was stronger and more eloquent, which is why it is taught over Turing in intro theory courses
>Dickstra
He’s a meme

>GDP per capita
This is about software developers you idiot

That image is federal level. So yes.

>make $1300 a month
>$100 rent
>$100 food
>$50 misc services
who's the poor now?

Living in Ukraine isn't something to brag about

>still lives with his parents.

I assume you are talking about Mongstad?

YOU are both fucking retarded. You were talking about purchasing power parity, at which point GDP with PPP is an entirely reasonable metric to use.

I live alone in a decent sized house

Yes they did, but only a small percentage because everyone helps. I would have zero problems with high taxes if we didn't let so many shitskins in.

owned by who?

Nope, they are actually quite small and independent. They deliver to all the big oil companies all over the Nordic and Baltics.

france has like 3 month long summer vacation or something

Kek. Hey, the man gotta survive.

> their education is so bad they all have to get a masters before anyone will hire them.
>Fizzbuzz is too hard for the average american programmer

That's still GDP. Adjustment to PPP only means cross-country comparisons aren't screwed by currency exchange rates.
It still says nothing about wages. Which, if adjusted by PPP take into account that living costs are different in different countries.
You still need data about the wages to compare wages.

Facts.

>Church’s thesis was stronger and more eloquent, which is why it is taught over Turing in intro theory courses
You don't even specify which thesis you're talking about. Are you talking about the Church-Turing thesis or what? If so then you do realise there's a reason it has both of their names in it, right?

>He’s a meme
>one of the founding fathers of computer science is a meme
ok kid

>NHS
>Healthcare

Pick one.

Also my uni costs over £9000!!!!!!!11!!!

350k programmer here, life is good

Attached: 1520185307679.png (664x840, 149K)

>Spain isn't even there
Fuck this country

Yes. Three bedrooms. How is that hard to understand?

its interesting how the higher personal income leader are mostly very small countries, or countries with populations restricted to small areas in terms of livable space

It's easier to achieve a higher GDP per capita if your country is small.

Attached: thats not how it works.png (500x500, 77K)

UK is contrarian island.
Best school in France pay you 1100€/mo to be a student and gvt helps you even more if you're poor.

But the point is that when you adjust GDP with PPP you get reasonably close to the actual living standards of a country, and the purchasing power. It's a fairly standard way to compare countries' living standards.

Anyway here, average wage with PPP.

Classic European education, Church and Turing proved the same fucking thing. Difference is Turing used vague terms and concepts while Church used the well defined Recursion Theory to create a rigorous and coherent argument. Church proved it before Turing. Only reason people care about Turing is because he’s gay, and broke some codes which were already broken by the Poles so he was a hack then too
Dijkstra proved a bunch of shit that anyone with half a brain could have proved
>t. Brainlet “if 3 print fizz” Euro
Name a relevant European company

Because I don't pay for education.
Because I don't pay for healthcare.
Because I can have a walk outside at night and not get mugged.
Because I can go to public places without the fear of getting shot.

>Because I don't pay for education.
>Because I don't pay for healthcare.
But you do with your 40% taxes

Not him but what's wrong with living with your parents?

This.

eu is poor and getting poorer. That's what too much socialism gets you

Ahh, so it's the classic
>B-BUT WE COULD'VE BUILT THE LHC TOO
Argument with regards to Dijkstra?

>Only reason people care about Turing is because he’s gay, and broke some codes which were already broken by the Poles so he was a hack then too
That is bullshit. The Enigma machines used by the BdU during WW2 were far more difficult to crack than the Enigma machines used by the Wehrmacht and the Luftwaffe, and even the Kriegsmarine itself.
