I've got a question about speaker wiring. Currently I'm running 2x Polk tsi200 on an smsl ad18 amp with a polk psw108 on the sub out jack. Since these speakers are too big for my desk, I bought a set of micca covo-S speakers. I'm going to move the sub to the desk, and wire the miccas through the outputs on the back of the sub.

My question is this: in the future, if I have the ad18 connected to the tsi200s, and the sub connected to the amp, and the miccas connected through the sub, will it A) overload the ad18, B) still act like 2.1 stereo but with 2 speakers on each channel, C) even work at all?

It's a hefty question but I'd appreciate the help

it should work fine, the speaker outs on your sub are for satellite speakers iirc

Onkyo TX-8220 vs Pioneer SX10AE vs Yamaha R-S202 for the poorfag?

Yamaha

removing the ground loop hum is worth whatever barely noticeable bass drop that exists

My friend bought audioquest cables for the aesthetics.
He's pretty aware there's bullshit going on though.

Thanks, I'm about to go with that, but can I ask you what do you think of the other two? The Pioneer is a lot cheaper and has sub out. I knew these were all well regarded brands back in the day but I'm not up to speed to the newer generations.

what do i need for bedroom djing?

I was looking at power output and total harmonic distortion. The Onkyo has the least watts per channel at 45w but the least amount of distortion. I figured you'd want more wpc so you'll have more than enough power for whatever speakers you get in the future. the Pioneer and Yamaha are both 100wpc, but the Pioneer has 2% distortion and the Yamaha has 0.2%. The Yamaha is the better choice in that regard.
From what I can tell Pioneer has gone a bit down in quality in recent years for most hi-fi and mid-fi sound equipment that isn't their top of the line or elite series stuff. I could be wrong, though.

Please help.

comes with two 100W speakers

from a quick search there's some possibilities
>yes, it's a transcode from mp3
>CD could have been made that way
>low pass filter

Looks like a lossy track that is letting a bit of ultrasonic signal leak through. Probably high bitrate encoding and probably not an ancient mp3 encoder.

Something to monitor the sound with and a mixer.

Anybody has an Edirol SD-90? I am getting one soon. Is there anything I need to know?

Can a poorfag realistically become a fully fledged Audiophile?

I'm currently looking for a replacement headphones as my current one just broke.

What would you guys recommend?

Wow this thing is so uselessly huge.

Yes, just adopt the mentality and make your own cheap tweaks

It depends on what kind of "audiophile" you want to be. If you want to be the kind that just want to hoard expensive shit no matter sound quality of this shit, then no.
For a kind that pursues the sound (with all professional help etc.), then probably yes, but you will need a lot of knowledge and some DIY will be involved, you obviously never will achieve sound quality of a professionally built from scratch room with a lot of money invested there, but you can get "good enough" with impressive results these days.

post your current headgear lads

pic related is mine, I've been rocking these 50$ Sony bad boys for 5 years straight.
the padding is damaged but everything else is good, sound quality did not deteriorate, they are ultralight and the head adjustment is very easy. The 3.5 mm connector hasn't broken

my only complaint is that they are all plastic and they SEEM flimsy, but how many people can say they kept a pair of headphones for 5 years?

Is an IDAC2 worth the price in 2018?
The dacmagic plus has so many more features.

I cleaned them for the first time today in 5 years, there was a lot of filth on them (pic related), but after rubbing it with alcohol they look squeeky clean

Just buy professional gear in 2018 for home use. Its so fucking much better, once you tasted things like RME there is no coming back.

I wonder if there are any audiofag HDMI cables where each individual line is separate along with its own shielding and braiding and shit. Would be quite thicc all together.

you're giving those meme manufacturers ideas, user. don't do that

Not so THICC but already something

It's an interesting market gap, though. Anyone wants to create a startup? Someone make the logo...

I've been using my AKG K530 daily for ten years and only retired them because I wanted to try new stuff. So cool that your headphones are lasting long, but not really news worthy.

What till you hear something good like Tchaikovsky

no thanks
