We really need legislation to stop this shit. Farm equipment does this as well. We need a right to repair bill and have states opt in to it to preserve federalism. If a company wants to charge me 15% more so be it but if I purchase something I should own it.
>6th gen Intel processor
>$1400
>good luck finding parts for it if something breaks
>15% more
In Apple's case it's usually 5000% more.
Problem is that this kind of news doesn't actually work negatively for Apple.
Apple slaves don't mind if their $3000 toys break. As a matter of fact, they love it.
They need an excuse to buy the latest iToy so their old one breaking is literally the best outcome for them.
Don't think this little scandal is gonna put a dent in Apple's sales.
Aren't these just generic chinkshit with a brand name on it?
Or was that System76? I don't remember.
This but with one addition:
"Well, repairing it is going to cost $1200, so I might as well just get a new one!"
