>just after announcement of 2080Ti
>prices for 10 series cards dropped dramatically
>buy a 1080Ti that was only used for 4 months and had 20 months of warranty left for €550
>benchmarks get released and more info comes out about how the 20 series doesn't perform that much better and RTX is a meme
>prices for used 10 series cards go up
>the same card I bought used is now worth more than what I paid for it

OP here, I literally used my 8800GT before I got my 1080Ti

I'm still waiting for the 2080 Ti to become back in stock.

8600GTS was also a fucking legend

t. 8600 GTS owner

the first 8800 gt i had burned up for no reason after 2 months of use

never fell for the nvidia meme again

My 7950 GT took me through Age of Conan *sip*. Back when wow clones had soul

>>prices for 10 series cards dropped dramatically
except they didnt

and you paid $1000 for a used card

what the fuck lmao

I listed the price I paid in the OP you blind mongoloid

yeah i converted it to my dollars and rounded up when I saw 890

top kek looking on ebay u could have go ta water cooled one for $200 more. 100 "quid"

>>buy a 1080Ti that was only used for 4 months
HAHAHAHAAH
>for €550
HAHAHAHAHAHA

>paying full price for a card that has been used 24/7 in a 500* garage for 6 months
>reeee it's not THAT much worse!

>my dollars
>quid
are you braindead? also do those cards come with 20 month warranty?

warranties don't transfer, faggot, you got robbed

I knew the guy, he ran a single gpu gaming rig he got rid of. but other 1080Ti's went for the same price locally.

yes they do in a first world country like mine.

t. made us of it before on used products

>yes they do in a first world country like mine.
they don't, this isn't a government thing, this is a manufacturer thing, available only to the original purchaser

yeah man this. they never dropped in price lmao. not that I care because I spent 1000 US on mine and it went up to 1300US right before the bubble

its not even good watercooled 1080 ti cant fucking 3d model forr shit desu i wanna swap it for a quaddro or titan which can render and also play games

My card came with a 4 year warranty brand new. Paid a bit more than you did evidently for a gigabyte waterforce 1080 ti

>they don't, this isn't a government thing
it is. in my civilized country, all stores are required to give a minimum of 2 years warranty on all products, and the warranty is on the product and now the buyer.

they do, if you have the proof of purchase, which I do.

>lying on the internet

nah faggot. I actually have it (and the original box)

>warranties don't transfer
>EVGA and MSI are literally okay with it

>warranties don't transfer

It is nice. I got my 1080ti for $430 and it was in great condition. Fucking hate pascal because of the overclocking limitations but it was over twice as fast as my old card so whatever.
Looking at the 20 series this will likely be my last card for 6 or so years. Basically if AMD makes enough money from Ryzen to make decent cards or Intel does well with their GPUs there will be some hope in 2020, 2021 but otherwise there will never be another even close to reasonable performance per $ GPU ever again.
