Be me

>be me
>rocking an Intel Core 2 Duo
>everything runs fine, even the internet
>some soiboi decided to put two autoplay videos on a webpage
>the computer shits itself

Why the fuck do they do this? Nobody likes these autoplay videos.

Well, Jow Forums is here to offer you a solution.

I'm already running my favorite gahnoo slash Linecks distro.

>>everything runs fine
it clearly doesn't

You can disable those in nightly now.

Disable HTML5 autoplay in about:config you absolute pleb

>his browser doesn't block autoplay

it clearly isn't gentoo.

ubun2 is for babbies.

Are you using chrome?
You need more memory, 4gb minimum.
If you can't manage that, at least get an SSD and create a 4gb swap partition.
Otherwise your computer will chug on any modern webpage.

The 2017 MacBook Pro does not have this problem

One solution: Ryzen

>not more ram

two very good reasons to install debian

this, I hate when they put it into news pages

Upgrade to a C2Q and buy a couple sticks of DDR2 from ebay or something.

media.autoplay.enabled;false

THIS. I swear to God, Firefox should make this the default as a giant middle finger to all those shitty news sites that autoplay a fucking video that just badly sums up the article in a loud, fast-talking, overcompressed voice WHILE YOU'RE TRYING TO READ IT.

PUUUUURRRRGGGEEEEEEE

The modern web is trash.

This.

>have Thinkpad T61p with Core 2 Duo
>can play normal 720p videos just fine
>many newer videos are being uploaded in 720p 60fps which grinds her everything to a halt
>removes the option for normal 720p on these videos so have to watch 480p 24fps

for what purpose could they not include both frame options

obviously talking about Youtube but forgot to mention cuz I'm retarded

My Q6600 reached 97% utilization, on a single youtube chrome tab, on my dad's win7 PC. Luckily the CPU died and I swapped it for an FX 8350

FFFF-Fag. Should have went for a Q9550 or a Xeon.
