In my opinion, chasing the 'right' programming language is a mistake. Learn a lot about something other than a language. Math, science, engineering...networking/tcpip, audio/image processing, communication systems...anything you are interested in. A lot of 'programming' jobs are shit. Don't make programming your main focus.
