Can you guess how I know the picture is not yours?

ew time for an upgrade

>install fubarover9000
>looks just like that
>needs fucking plugins originally downloaded from fucking russian sites with tons of spyware to look good

>get deadbeef
>can configure it right out of the box to look just as good or better
>is Free software 100%
bwahahaha indeed

Are you me? I love this music player so much.

kys

>gets BTFO by AIMP

Nothing wrong with Foobar either...
But DANM DeadBeef is so comfy.

terminal fags gtfo

>not keeping it minimal default with a dark theme

> deadqueef
why is it the same as audacious?

>the virgin minimalism vs the chad maximalism

Not even close, freetards.

Compare your setup with OP's and you will find that yours is ugly af

I respectfully disagree of your faggot opinion.

OP's setup is a mess. He did not even adjust the columns size correctly, which is why it has an ugly and unnecessary horizontal scrollbar.

Foobar2000 looks kino with the included dark blue theme.
You seem like the kind of person who frequently appeals to authority.

There is a massive "LinuxHelp" logo on the bottom right btw.
>customizable interfaces

Any good music players for gnu/linux ( not terminal based I like album art ).

>not using poobar with grossly impractical and tacky skins

>no folder view
>add location doesn't work
Why are freetards always okay with putting out incomplete trash? All it does is hurt the integrity of the entire ecosystem. Free software would be 1000x times better if most of the software release just wasn't.

DeadBeef, the player the thread is about. I use QuodLibet though. Guayadeque and Clementine are good too.

Clementine just works.

Your setup looks like shit.

i like foobar thanks

We all do. The problem is that a minimalist player like f2k has no place on Windows.

>foobar
Never saw the appeal. I'm not into ricing so I just roll with the defaults and I didn't like them at all in f2k. I prefer Audacious on Windows and cmus on Linux.

>all this wasted space

Why isn't deadbeef in any of the Debian repos

Too new. Wait 2 years.

;_;7

Based

>Alcest

Good taste.

foobar2000 is the best imo. On Linux I use Quod Libet. Does DeaDBeef support .cue/.flac albums?

Can't play SACD ISOs, can't play DSD formats without conversion, not sure if it can play DVD-audio. It lacks basic functionality.

>Not ncmpcpp
kys

>Last release: 2016/04/24
Into the trash it goes.

Is it using GTK or QT toolkit? I can't tell from the screenshots.

>Foobar2000 looks kino with the included dark blue theme.
>You seem like the kind of person who frequently appeals to authority.
Appeals to authority? What are you even talking about?

why wouldn't you just use mpd

Why are all these audio players not being updated any more?

wtf how do you add tree folders view

Don't fix what isn't broken.

>mp3
>128 kbps

Free software fanatics tend to start unnecessary projects that satisfy their particular autistic desires, then disappear when they get bored or overwhelmed by maintenance.

>Does DeaDBeef support .cue/.flac albums?
yes

>Does DeaDBeef support .cue/.flac albums?
Of course.
Just why would anyone go through the trouble of running an audio player through a terminal? Even a decade old hardware doesn't have a problem running an audio player with a GUI, so it couldn't be hardware.
I don't think you've even used the damn thing.
>It lacks basic functionality.
And you've listed niche, obscure formats almost no streaming service or a digital download would offer.

>Just why would anyone go through the trouble of running an audio player through a terminal?

Because I've found cmus to be easier than any GUI based player I've tried. I'm not even kidding. It's very straight forward and its library management didn't need any tinkering on my side. I'm lazy as fuck and don't like to customize my shit much, cmus is everything I need.

Does it have decent tag editing?

>And you've listed niche, obscure formats almost no streaming service or a digital download would offer.

The classic "you don't need it", what an unexpectable turn of events.

its cue support is ass

Cool. So, where do you get your SACD ISOs, DVD formats (whatever that is) and DVD audio from? And why isn't the rest of the world doing so?

>Just why would anyone go through the trouble of running an audio player through a terminal? Even a decade old hardware doesn't have a problem running an audio player with a GUI, so it couldn't be hardware.
Because it looks nice, it's flexible, it's configurable, I can make it look how I want, it's colors fit with my global theme (Without using shitty GTK theming via oomox), and it just werkz

I thought everyone here used ncmpcpp

I like gmusicbrowser, but Deadbeef is a really nice simple program

Attached: 2018-10-23-161259_1400x1050_scrot.png (1400x1050, 459K)

foo is a prime player.

Attached: foobar2000_2018-10-24_01-29-49.png (578x760, 102K)

somewhat related question
What is it called when you generate a single color based on an image?
Kinda like how Windows 10 has the feature to make your taskbar colors based on your wallpaper, how does it choose the color?

I'm thinking of a player that changes color based on album art, dont know if foobar could do this though

I wish. Crashed a lot and couldn't play the start of my files until they loaded. (Rewinding worked but they wouldn't play on first load)

Shuttle on Android does this. I don't know if it's an Android feature or if they built it in-house.

>not using cmus
That's gonna be a yikes from me

Did you even look at the thread you clicked on?

See

>tfw my file browser plugin has broken icons and I don't know how to fix it

Hikiplayer on Android does this too.
