Don't become an IT Technician

Job is shit
> Low Pay
> No chance of progression in most companies because you spend money rather than make it.
> Seen as an outcast
> Weekend Work
> Everything is your fault

in the US yeah maybe, but not in a first world country

All true except
>Weekend Work
that one is on you for being a cuck

I'm British

Downtime has nothing to do with being a cuck.
I can't just reboot an exchange server during working week.

ha, well, not a third world country, but not quite a first world either
and anyone thinking everything is your fault is an idiot

No but task scheduler can

Just tell them no. If they don't pay you overtime say it can't be done until they pay for high availability.

Beside hardcore geeks and nerds, I don't know a single normal IT guy or programmer that is not thinking in quitting.
This job is boring as fuck full of nonsense, stupid bosses and clients, endless pointless meetings, etc. have no prospect in future. Sometimes it can pay well but at what cost?

Jokes on you
>Pay is amazing
>Just get a new job if you want progression
>Brought in to save the day
>No oncall or weekend work, always playing with fun stuff
>Gone before anything is my fault

>always playing with fun stuff
elaborate

his boss dick

Well yeah, if you're in the IT field and your job is not on demand, you're probably a slave.

>low pay
comptia A/N/S + cert holder here: how low?

£18k-20k Average around where I'm from

Not too bad, I can pay rent with half of that. Gotta start somewhere I guess, better than being a cashier at a grocery store.

Is it just me or is there a lot of job threads today? Seems like it.

Being a neet doesn't pay and we all want stuff.

>IT Technician

Is that the same thing as SysAdmin? I was thinking of getting into IT... but err,, this thread made me think twice.

>>Brought in to save the day

Is it paid though? If so I don't even mind

>not having clustered email servers

Cuck.

Yeah I'm actually one too. But I'm actually close though it's not a computer/tech job it's something. Using a place to help me find something and they do have something but taking awhile for various reasons like there's lots of other people's cases too so hard to meet them more often, but it's progress in knowing the idea of a job that would fit me pretty good.
