how did you get those rounded corners?

nobody answered my question in the last thread so i'll just post re-ask
how do I rice my desktop like the cool kids on fedora? I'm testing out a live usb and so far I can only get it to look like pic related (basically just a wallpaper change)
i'm a complete retard when it comes to linux in general but it's helpful for a job in software engineering i want

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

I'm 100% down with that but I don't see why desktops can't be posted alongside. it is an imageboard after all. maybe giving a discussion topic (e.g. why you like your wm setup, share a cool personal script/hidden gem program/ascii art) and encouraging people to ask questions to others could be cool.

after writing all that I realize that it will probably never happen here. but to my knowledge there is no good place to discuss advanced rice on the net, other than here where discussion sometimes shines.

When you write a /wg/ wallpaper scraper and get desktops instead, you surly know that /wg/ is not the place for desktops, but wallpapers.
Desktop threads should be banned from /wg/ and moved back to Jow Forums where they belong to and rightfully have been for many years.

unfortunately he doesn't actually have a patch for the rounded corners, you'll either have to use his dwm or just do what I did and manually add the rounded corners stuff to your own

it moved to beta recently right? how is it now?

most of the stuff with the konsole windows is in the konsole profile settings, like the transparency of the window and the colors and stuff. if you're wondering about the blur it's a feature in kwin i believe
