Windows 3.11 allows me to do advanced word processing, spreadsheets, web browsing, and it has a bunch of cool games that can run in DOS. What does autistic 9shit do? It forces me to use text based applications that are trash for no reason. Rio is also the worst window manager I've ever used.

Some features were integrated into linux later on, like the bind and procfs.
The linux kernel has a comple time option for adding the 9p protocol module

That said, the os is way more "tangible" than hurd but is essentially kinda dead. The os itself is really good, but modern solution are good enough™ so don't expect more adoptions in the future.
