The utter state of UEFI. It's a clusterfuck across the board and it has turned out to be anything but unified. You just usually don't hear about it because it doesn't brick motherbaords too often. Though there have been several issues with MSI over the years with this.
At least they haven't hopped fully on board the soldered shit train like Applel, so a motherboard swap can be performed without losing data.
