nothing atm

Working on getting a 120k programming job.

I am a clinical retard looking to learn C++, what should I program with it?

what kind of music does /dpt/ listen to when programming

Lisp is the most powerful programming language.

Don't post that garbage; it just shits up these threads with useless rolling posts.
Make a new thread specifically for it.

Why is this being spammed in /dpt/. I've tried lisp and it's like a weird parenthes-y python

gonna make a game with some teammates from my class over the next 7 weeks
should I show them my programming socks...

t. brainlet

You should kill yourself instead.

I loop movies in the background.

Bach

You aren't making a strong point for lispcucks here.

Hardcore techno and crossbreed

He doesn't need to. You can continue living your life as a peasant, or you can ascend and become a sage. You're choice.

Well, at least it's clear why nobody wants to do anything with lisp now.
Keep making your shitty language deader and deader.

Lmao lisptards are lower than dirty peasants.

then i would probably fail the course

Do you think that matters after you've killed yourself?

>being this mad
Actually, Lisp is which popular, and web assembly is adopting the S-Expressions like syntax of lisp.
Not everyone can be a sage. Now hurry along and work the fields you peasant before your master whips you.

Attached: smug_laugh.png (782x1021, 330K)

>I can't understand Lisp.
>I know, if I say it's crappy then maybe I will believe I am too smart to learn it
Keep telling yourself that brainlet.

>lisptards think their shitlang is difficult
Lmao

Employed C# ASP.NET Core developer here

yes and let them use your programming lube too

>ASP.NET
>.NET Core

pick one or you're lying

Is learning syntactical details a waste of time? An ``experienced programmer'' told me that it was because the IDE handles all of it. He also told me that I was wasting my time not using an IDE since every professional environment will force me to use one anyway.

Attached: 1530014304709.jpg (800x1000, 64K)

I'm not lying friend but most of our older code is in ASP.NET and .NET 4.5. Happy to provide details.

Terrible advice.

Parking software and security software. The latter involves a lot of reselling other people's work. The former involves a lot of react.js.

Speaking of, is there any forseeable alternative to JavaScript coming down the pipeline that isn't owned by Mozilla.

I have a LAMP site on AWS Lightsail. Until now I've been making changes in production. What's the simplest way to implement a staging environment? One more instance, and limit the 2nd instance to my home IP address?

Depends on the interviewers and the job. For server admin, you better know vim/emacs. For web development, you better know an IDE.

WebAssembly isn't "owned" by mozilla though they may certainly deserve much credit
Anyways, now that WebAssembly is around, you probably can develop in literally any language you want.
Golang is coming along but is missing a few critical features.

TSFH, something similar, or classical. I usually don't like verbal stuff playing when I'm really focused.

On another note, does anyone else get really triggered when someone refers to "a code"? Not as in encryption, but referring to some script you wrote as "a code". "I wrote some JavaScript codes".

Honestly depends on if you're ever going to move into a position where you are using a language in such a way that the more obscure syntactical details matter. If your supervisor is telling you that it doesn't matter then chances are you aren't on a track to ever really need it. If you plan on transferring to a lower level programming position then you need to pick it up at some point.

>Parking software
>react.js

what

How does WA work with react?

Very simple and only needs to be compatible with iOS but it's not worth it to me to use xcode

Blaze a trail

Attached: 1532751119565.png (1011x874, 465K)

Thanks.

but what do you mean "parking"?

so it's a react web app for buying tickets for parking?

That bad? I may consider it if I was a bit more invested in that whole infrastructure.

reactjunkie.com/webassembly-react

webassembly is called "wasm" not "WA"

Actually while the end result will be using it for parking it will basically be a simple database lookup script with a gui made in react. Its for checking licence plates against a database.

Thanks
Noted

Isn't wasm kinda crap though? No DOM so no html/css, no cookies, no webstorage, no location/microphone/anything, and you need js glue even to attach webm functions to events. Basically a block of code in a box.

How do I get started with programming in OpenGL and C using GCC compiler?

Roll to piss off first reply user.

Find a graphics programming textbook on Amazon and start reading through it. Decide which one based on authors or what top universities use in their classes. You can learn most things in stem using this method.

>decompile C#
>1000 lines of compiler generated bloat
>decompile java
>nothing more than accessor methods
is this the cost of adding a bunch of pointless syntax sugar?

>197 -> one hundred and ninety-seven
triggered af

No, I mean how do I get GCC setup to compile OpenGL. Sorry, should have specified. I have looked it up and no one seems to want to give a good answer.

There's three steps:
>include

>compile

Arch

Very nice. Great success.

But I made Arch so it is a success.

>natural language programming
fucking disgusting

Tryin to minimize this dag drawing's edge crossing numbef

ye

What a slut time is. She screws everybody.

CL-USER> (format t "~r" 197)
one hundred ninety-seven

>minimizing edge crossings
you don't have to do this in 3 dimensional space :^)

Just toposort it and every line is forward. Or then draw them in a line with half-circles for the edges

Those who believe in telekinesis, raise my hand.

int main(){
bool hasTelekinesis = true;
int handPosition;

if(hasTelekinesis){
handPosition = 1;
}
else{
handPosition = 0;
}
return 0
}

>On another note, does anyone else get really triggered when someone refers to "a code"? Not as in encryption, but referring to some script you wrote as "a code". "I wrote some JavaScript codes".
Yes, this is one of my biggest pet peeves. I generally tell people to either just use "code" as the plural, or to say "snippet of code".

Is there any other word that's analogous to how "code" is usedas a noun?

i find myself saying "a quick little hack" for some things, "snippet" for others

Attached: 1513732240532.jpg (1000x673, 96K)

Not good enough.
#include
#include

int main(){
bool hasTelekinesis = true;
int handPosition;

if(hasTelekinesis){
handPosition = 1;
}
else{
handPosition = 0;
}
printf("Your hand is at position %d", handPosition);

return 0;
}

Stop using C++ and start using C, faggot.

you forgot the \n

Not needed, this program is finished and there never will be anything more to it.
Although, it is generally just good practice to add it, so I see what you are getting at.

The absolute state of Ctards.

that's literally a tranny

lisp is just plain fucking retarded

it's not. but what difference would it make?

"software". i've heard people (thankfully, only a few) refer to something as "a software," as in "[X] is a software that does [Y]." ... like fingernails on a chalkboard.

she would be a better programmer

>trannies
>programming things
between pushing their castrated cocs all over the place and being outraged at whatever their schizophrenia has made them believe they are being persecuted for, I have a hard time believing they get any programming done at all
