Cars used to be fixable by you. Keyboards used to last 25+ years and were built proper. Vinyl.

concorde was shit.

it literally takes twice as long to cross the Atlantic as it did 30 years ago.

America used to be able to into space

Games consoles.

>muh speed
speed is for brainless idiots. Modern jets like 787 are much much more energy efficient than the Concorde. They are much much more quieter. Much much more cheaper to maintain thus allowing more people to fly. If you weren't a total brainlet you'd realize this.

>it literally takes twice as long to cross the Atlantic as it did 30 years ago.
Yeah, if you could afford the $20k ticket price.

Concorde was noisy as fuck and not particularly comfortable. Sure, you could cross the Atlantic in less than 3 hours, but you'd pay insane money and sit extremely uncomfortably during the flight.

>much more quieter
>Much much more cheaper
Wow great English brainlet

The Concorde first flew in 1969. A modern Concorde could have all the modern comfort and efficiency improvements as well.

if being energy efficient is more important than being fast why not take a boat ya walnut. People use planes because they're fast.

by the time a single conventional airplane would have crossed the atlantic 4 concordes will be on air carrying x2 more than a 787 at almost x2.2 less time
concorde was being used as a premium charter plane most of the time for groups of people around the globe
it was profitable enough to carry it around the problem was that the pilots were aging and the engineers were also aging fast

No the design was shit.

Cringe. Go read a book about aerospace engineering before you write dumb shit.
The Boeing 787 is a marvel compared to the concorde which was a vanity project for the French and British.

Concorde was a money sink and maintenance hell.
>America used to be able to into space
True, much of that know-how is lost now.

Yeah but tickets cost $300, not $5000.

>Vinyl.

Scratched at the slightest wrong movement of the stylus, which happened often because it's almost impossible to drop the needle exactly on the track you're wanting to listen to.
Magnet for dust, leading to popping during playback.
Have to be played a fuck huge turntable, so they're not in any way portable.

Oh yeah, those were the days.

SUPERSONIC TRAVEL WILL OCCUR AGAIN

The true answer is pic related. None of our technologies will enable information about humans to endure as long as simple carvings onto rock.

>787 is a marvel
so is the a350 whats your point?

Imagine: you were supposed to fly to the land down under from yurp in no time at all with the concorde, but the fucking poos complained about noise when it flew over their cesspit.
So instead of a steady stream of yuro immigration oz is stuck with shit and everyone is worse off
god dammit pajeet

In China maybe, The Wests time has passed

Plastic punchcards will last much longer. It takes like 20k years for plastic to break down

The idea of a supersonic liner roaring over third world shitholes gives me a boner the size of the British Empire

kek i remember when boeing revealed their version of an SST

it was so fucking overcomplicated even the nose function that not even they wanted to built it

Is this Disneyland?

>ywn fly on glorious Imperial Airways
>stuck instead with shitty BA and Qantas
feels real sad man

Concorde wasn't profitable, it was heavily subsidised from the very beginning!

Coming from a britbong, it hurt like a motherfucker when they took it out of service

Concorde died for a good reason.

*blocks your path*

yep

The development was subsidized, the airlines made a profit from running them

but that's 60's tech user, that's the point

You can still get it but the price is absolutely disgusting for the old-fashioned stuff and not as well made.
