Was there a technical reason to do this ever? Why would anyone take more steps to navigate to a person's profile to DM instead of remaining on the thread? Maybe nerds are autistic.

At least megaupload was fast. Everything else peaked at like 50kb/s for me.

i fucking hate quora for this

>just do X instead!
>its not only slower, barely works and has a bunch of other issues it forces you to completely change ten other things for the worse to even function
>fixed :)
I fucking hate linux shitters for this, they're by far the worst offenders.

Windows doesn't have this problem.

It's generally a third party program problem on both Oses.

I already rebooted the PC.

seinfeld is an anagram of
>ends life

photobucket is the worst fucking thing related to pic hosting
there were many others, much better than this piece of shit, but no, let's use the worst

>guy with 80 line signature keeps posting and obscuring the thread with his motivational quotes

Early quora was really fucking good but then they started paying Indians one penny per answer now it's garbage

What's going on in this thread?

checked out you're numbers. epic.
even though you failed I'll include you in the screencap

Fucking SO

GIMP advocates are especially bad about this.

>quoting text when greentexting
mega yikes for me.

These, coupled with no sign of the solution on the thread are probably the most rage-inducing experience ever

Every time. And still no one knows why i cant get pulse audio equaliser working. No one!

Because they don't want the fix to be visible from the outside internet. They want you making an account and begging for it. Mods and "veteran" posters can't be important without an audience of lesser beings on their forum.

literally never happens

Now we sit back and see how many suckers bite.

try too many things too eagerly
lose track of the things you tried / changed and how to reverse them
lost in nirvana of uncertainty where you don't know if the things you did are what's now causing the initial problem or the new ones that have appeared

Whenever I go on forums I see most peoples total posts in the thousands. Who the fuck posts that much or has that much time?

I've probably only ever posted

>8 pages of quote on quote on quote replies and gigantic signatures
>page 8
>"did anyone find a solution for this?"

Attached: a09.png (680x708, 387K)

I post more than that in 6 months
so literally nothing

I'm way down in the abyss though

>Was there a technical reason to do this ever?

No, it's usually scammers offering a 'fix' which will invariably be malware of some sort.

I have never understood the logic behind now allowing necroposting
It seemed like every forum i the 2000's enforced this but nobody could give me a good reason why

Everything that was hosted on megaupload, broken and gone forever. And still so many old forums linked to those dead sites.

>I fixed it

some forums dont allow "illegal" fixes, so you can only pm them

>just take it to the Apple store

>why would you want to use a non-Apple product with Apple stuff anyway

>why would you want to use a controller in a pc game anyways
>

>shouldn't of pirated then ;)

Because apparently some retards have forum notifications set up and they will get notifications for year old dead threads and that makes them mad it seems. That and bullshit 'forum culture'.

forum software would archive threads after sometime to optimise for memory access. now that hardware and memory is cheap, it doesn't really matter anymore
Jow Forums itself isn't unaffected by this, there are multiple services running to archive every post on Jow Forums.
yet somehow Jow Forums is "unprofitable" lol

Downloads in the form of attachments on a forum post that first require you to be logged in on a verified account, then you finally go to download and the attachment has expired

>shouldn't of

Do the steps in reverse.

>[deleted]
Fuck reddit holy shit

>These niggas are literally fucking up python, the language that created to stop these faggots fucking up
>I try to inquire why they think it's not working and what a state of "working" is
>"Isn't that your job to know?"
>Begin fixing the immediate problems that i can see
>Begin to fix the bugs that result
>More new bugs poor in as a result of the previous
>A literal sea of bugs start pouring out of the computer
>The desks start to rise on the wave of inbound bugs
>Every bug is a hydra, each destroyed spawns 3 more
>Begin to build an ark out of the Desks, and ride it to the holy land of fixes
>We paddle through the bugs to the holy land, using only the blessed texts of "stack exchange" to guide us
>Land is in site, only a few more miles of code to go
>We land and the bugs finally begin to subside
>The bugs draw back and reveal one of the most structurally sound and beautiful blocks of code you'll have darned see
>A chorus of winged children hail our work
>then the faggot turns to me and asks:
>"But what actually was the problem?"

Happens every fucking week. It's a religious experience every single time.

>sort files by placing them all within the same folder
>when it gets too crowded create a folder called "OLD" and put everything into it
>tfw you need to find a file from two years ago

the way I see it if I don't need something for about eight months it can be safely compressed into cold storage unsorted

>Tutorial typed out in notepad

Attached: 1498424631379.png (582x477, 455K)

I prefer the notepad method over the 7$ mic their grandmother bought from target ten years ago

>How do I do X?
>Why would you ever want to do X when it violates so many very principles of Y? Just do Z instead
>No actually it's absolutely useful for my application
>Talks to OP condescendingly about the great minds of history and how they would never dare do X and how he has never encountered X in 30 years of working at Boomertech Inc.
>Fuck you guys, I figured it out on my own

Do the world a service and create a better tutorial for those who have the same problem then.

Nice LARP
