Cars are bad

Cars are bad.
They are expensive to purchase, expensive to maintain, expensive to use, make air in the urban areas paint your lungs black, they need LOTS of space (roads) to be useful, they are dangerous. Any living area that is designed with a requirement for you to have a car is a shithole, and such a requirement is a scam.
Cars are essentially real-time bloat that decreases quality of our life.
"But muh freedom" - car doesn't give you freedom. You are paying big buck for being able to get somewhere, but ONLY where government decided to take a road. In USA most of the time it's the ONLY way to get somewhere.

Failed to get your driver's license, huh?

Cars utilize propietary software. Stop using them.

I don't leave in US, so I don't need a car. I can actually walk to a grocery store and if I need to go somewhere far, there's buses and metro.

Bikes are better, but the cyclist get too smug about themselves for some reason

being able to get somewhere is a huge deal.

>they are dangerous
youre just a pussy
>tfw driving with traction control off in the rain and sliding around every corner
fun

>but ONLY where government decided to take a road
Psst hey kid...

We need adequate public transport and urban planning for that. Cars is like trying to solve the problem of diarrhea by plugging your asshole.

not to mention that the normalization of cars has ruined cities. Because of cars, businesses and residential areas have spread farther and farther apart so much so a car is almost a necessity to get around. Fucking Greatest Generation boomers ruined everything More money for manufacturers I guess...

Public transport also costs money. You can't expect them to build a train station or establish a frequent bus connection (by that I mean more than twice a day) for every small town in the country.
Cars are great to get to places where using public transport is impractical or for transporting heavy/bulky goods.

I put your kind in the same category as anti-SSD memers: poor, coping scum.

90s rigid MTB with slicks

>t. 335 kg "man" who can't walk past 2 cm

I have this plus a car.
Can't ride every where.

I occasionally look at your kind when i stop at a stoplight near bus or tram stops. Know what I see? Horrid, disheveled faces void of any life. Cattle waiting to be transported to their grinder. Absolutely disgusting.

>the fattie thinks the only methods of transportation involve motors
Isn't it time to take your insulin shot?

If you live in a city there's no need to own a car unless it's part of your job, get an e-bike or something.
Otherwise you're excused.

Imagine riding the bus

lol

The funniest thing is when I rev my V8 and then look at a typical bus stop incel - the short, old clothes wearing nerd is looking at my car but then quickly looks away as though he doesn't care - but I know he does, I know he envies me in every way.

Also, American suburbs are a nightmare. Nothing but same looking houses in the radius of several miles and NOTHING else. Even if you want t go for a walk or buy some quick snacks you HAVE to drive somewhere.

Waste of land. Also, that's why your internet speed is crap.

>the lard has gone to his brain
Doesn't matter. When I'm walking on the streets, I can feel people all around mirin my perfectly sculpted body, the apex of humanity.

Know what those people see from the tram/train? NPCs rotting in the traffic jam.
>but hey at least it's my car!

>t. horse gang

I think your kind is more occupied avoiding shouting kids/the homeless/whether or not you'll get fired today

On public transport you can actually do something with that time. Like reading on doing something on your laptop.
While you're driving you can only drive.

What, who here actually leaves the house, unless it's within GTA?

>GTA
bloatware

I'm getting a motorcycle license so I don't have to wait in line so long in cities. It's illegal to filter here in Spain, but whatever.

I am aware that my life will be hell in summer, winter and when it rains.

>It's illegal to filter here in Spain
Only cigars and brewed coffee for you?

I dont wanna walk 20 miles to get a fucking bus thats gonna be late
Cars are the easiest way to get about

And plastic chairs

>What are Ubers
>What are autonomous cars.

Bad public transport is the consequence of everyone using cars. You're not creating the demand for better public transport.

>only where the government decided to take a road

>live in the far north of canada
>there are more private or public roads than government mandated roads at a ratio of 5/1
>still working a job I love for more money than I really know what to do with

An offroad truck may be shitty for the enviroment, but it gives me a level of autonomy I couldn't even phathom in my youth

also roads only take up valuable space if you live in a big city, everywhere else space is plentiful and unsurprisingly, driving is fun and extremely relaxing.

Uber is shit.
Autonomous cars are not on the market.

>public transport
Theres no such thing where I live, it's all privatly owned

I wonder why is that.

becuase when the goverment run trains and buses they where worse

I enjoy transporting heavy things anytime I want.

To the byciclist here.
In Germany the voices to regulate the bike are getting louder and louder.
In Berlin you could read an newspaper article about getting them insuranced by law and by the way thea all need a plate even the younglings at the playground.
I m a member in an political org ( partey ) so I asked some people.
I got a simple answer....
More and more of the boomer that started to come into our city dont have a car but their money is needed to grant the existing infrastructure.
So welcome to the next level.
You dont harm the enviroment , you keep yourself fit and you have to pay for it...

Your English is barely comprehensible

>Berlin

doesn't surprise me that socialist hell hole will nickel and dime you to death, gotta pay the Fachkräfte, right?

I understood him perfectly, what's your IQ?

Germany is a cognitive dissonance country, desperately wanting to be eco but powered by filthy diesels and coal plants

>what's your IQ
enough go watch Rick and Morty, duh

Cars are great. They're expensive because they allow you to do something that even the richest people for most of human history could not: Haul thousands of kilos of stuff hundreds of miles at incredible speeds.

If you buy one for just moving yourself around it's pretty much a waste. 130 horses and you're pulling 1.4 tonnes of metal just to move your 70-80kg ass. Useful in shopping where you could be carrying a family and 40-50kg of shopping, but for commuting it's pretty retarded.

>2018
>muh car
There Is litreally no reason to own a car unless you live in burgerland where there's no public transport outside of new york. Cars are an abomination and I have no idea why they aren't extinct yet.

You are so right...
The socialists harm this city with every thought they got in the morning.
And by the way.... every real Fachkraft which could get a decent pay leaves this city long time ago all the people which stay here are baristas and techs in callcenters and to give the people which deserves it their right some people in science and higher tech..

Stuff like this is fucking insane, I'm not sure what I'll do if they start something similar over here.
I just wish they'd update the laws regarding electric vehicles, it's pretty much illegal to own anything above 250W unless you register it and pay insurance/taxes on it. 250W doesn't get you very far outside pedal assisted e-bikes.

...

at least they got rid of the evil nuclear power.

Exactly, cars are for incapacitated fat slobs.
Pic related is the patrician choice.

/n/ unicycle club invading Jow Forums again

Looks nice. Got a link?

Looks like the standard Ninebot/Segway version, they don't reach much more than 20km/h. The Chinese have some really cool ones that go 55km/h with ranges of 100km per charge.

Get rekt, bitch.

Attached: topkek.webm (400x720, 1.56M)

I'm on their site and the scooters look pretty cool, but I don't see an option to actually buy one.

Idk, I love my Audi A4.

Beautiful.

Check Amazon or if you have any local dealers.

Sure you can

Whoa... so THIS is the power of america

They're driving on the left you idiot, this is bongistan

Humans are the worst the planet will have to face.

Decreasing overpopulation is a good thing.

Why is the OBD port so insecure ?

Any retard with a $300 key programmer kit can steal your car in less than 1 minute

And your insurance wont work because it's a theft with no damage on the car, thus making the theft impossible to prove.

you forgot CIA

Car are terrible

Always breaks down
Unlike houses which appreciate in value over time making it a good asset, cars depreciate in value so rapidly it's essentially worthless in 5 years
Just a financial drain with no good returns

It's a catch 22. You'd be able to have more walkable cities and better public transport if you got rid of the car, but if you're one of the first ones to do it then you really inconvenience yourself for the next few decades until it's a reality. If you don't then it will never happen.
I took the easy way out and just moved to a country where you don't need a car.

>but ONLY where government decided to take a road.

Yeah. This is why public transportation is much bett--Oh wait.

Attached: 1545261982231.png (451x450, 119K)

I don't have to bring my own train

>but ONLY where government decided to make a railroad.

>ugh i can only go where government built roads
>aaah rails, now that's a non government funded transport

For everything else I have my legs.
Yes, public transport has a limited amount of destinations. But it doesn't require me to be rich and have very specific skills in order to use it.

>But it doesn't require me to be rich and have very specific skills in order to use it.
holy shit, how poor you are that you can afford a car and how much of a brainlet you have to be to not be able to drive one

>implying I give a single flying fucking fuck about small towns

Attached: DarkestDungeonLaughing.jpg (1000x660, 136K)

>buying new cars
>buying german cars
ayy lmao

he's right you know, he shouldn't be driving.

>TREAT ME LIKE I AM A CAR ON THE ROAD
>runs red light
>WHY DID YOU HIT ME

>paying $300/month to have a car in the city when it's faster, cheaper and healthier to bike

I want to become a politician so I can sponsor legislation to make it legal to run over cyclists.

Both car and driving license costs a shitton of money where I live. A license is around my monthly salary an a car is 10-15 times that much.

And average income here is one quarter of what I earn.

Why would I spend that much money on this shit?

back to plebbit

It's worth it bro.

Hey hey hey- It should be legal to hit people who break traffic laws and run red lights. Cyclists can damage cars.

Stop living on a shithole and kys.

>living in a cunt with no extensive and effective public transport
>only niggers take public transport in his cunt
truly third world
I see doctors and lawyers taking public transport, not because they don't have the money to drive a car, but because it's way less of a hassle in all aspects

Or maybe there should be a way to make cyclists obey the traffic rules?

Because I'd like to piss on every car driver who doesn't behave.

who are you quoting?

>slightly oversteer
>plant your face on the pavement
Noice

>Both car and driving license costs a shitton of money where I live
South America? Africa? Anyway, go back.

That's why it's patrician. It takes true skill and dedication. No mistakes allowed.

>Or maybe there should be a way to make cyclists obey the traffic rules?
making it legal to run them over when they do stupid shit will make them obey the rules

/o/ would be a better place to discuss this, but:
>dangerous
for normies, cars have gotten a lot safer over the years and considering we will have a future at some point in which people don't even have to control them it's a non-issue. for hobbyists who like going to tracks and such, who cares? i should have the right to kill myself and at the very least have fun doing it
>any living area that is designed with a requirement for you to have a car is a shithole
good luck living literally anywhere that isn't a flat af city lmao. guessing this guy is a millennial who hasn't traveled at all. not sure if you can comprehend this OP but not every place will accommodate you. that's just how life goes
gas the bikes

based

>driving a car with software in it
lmao

>always breaks down
if you can't maintain it sure
>no good returns
i mean they can be pretty fun sometimes, if you aren't a citycuck they're actually a pretty alright hobby. and hobbies are all about wasting money in exchange for fun

>not just straight up buying it
any teenager making min. wage can buy a car after just a year or so of working, and since this is in the perspective of a citycuck the whole chicken/egg problem of "how do i get to work without a car and pay for a car without work" thing doesn't even exist because of public transport

>be rich
if it's specific to your area then that sucks i guess but
>very specific skills
it isn't that difficult

> gas the bikes
