You can never trust the changelogs of proprietary software. They could have added backdoors and spyware between every update and you would be none the wiser.

technically when you watch a video or listen to a song online you're just downloading it without the ability to watch it again later. It shouldn't be legal for youtube or spotify to dictate when I can open the files once they're on my computer. I don't have to call you when anyone does anything - you can run Android without Gapps, uninstall system applications, use firewalls, ad blockers, change DNS providers and even redirect all your system traffic through Tor if you so chose.
