normalfags literally do not care. it absolutely does not matter what the details are. they do not care about any design choices or specs, at all. they don't care about notches, bezels, headphone jacks, RAM, repairability. It's literally just a status symbol. Apple could downgrade their newest macbook or whatever to 2008 specs, and normies would still line up to buy it, because it has an apple logo, which is what everyone else has, which means they should also have it.

The recent course of action for most/if/not/all retail stores is to do Something I call "hypermargins"
Its not that uncommon for brick'n'mortar stores to lets say, ask $26 for something they spend 2-3$on.
In retail its about spending as little as possible, outsourcing your manufacturing.
And then try to to ask as much as ppl are willing to spend.
But be sure to wrap your product in a nice name brand jacket.
