get a life

>That pic

I'm gonna need some context on this.

Attached: 1524613675310.png (588x529, 20K)

why do people recommend windows 7 over windows 10 when windows 7 is old and the drivers aren't as good as 10?

life finds a way

Core Setup:

>i7-8700K Processor

>GIGABYTE Z370XP SLI

>Corsair [16 GB x2] DDR4-2400

>NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 - 8GB - ASUS STRIX RGB

Using it for workstation and gaming. Did I do good?

>pootel
>workstation
Into the loo with the joo.

What’s wrong with it

You could have saved over $100 and got a 2700x with better workstation performance and no noticeable difference in gaming.

>Lisa Su liked this tweet
What did she mean by this

Attached: 20181030_180632.jpg (1440x1441, 588K)

Don’t listen to these two. You’re fine.

I'm still afraid to buy an AMD GPU because of the possibility of them stopping driver support for GCN cards after Navi hits.

Attached: 1539123161731.jpg (350x524, 68K)

Was it worth it?

Attached: lqdhfc.png (618x757, 194K)

Don't listen to this guy, you're not fine.

Can Keller and Raja uncuck Intel?

Why the fuck does 2600 at 4GHZ, premium B-die RAM at 3466 with tightened timings fucking stutter so bad while the game is on the lowest settings!?

Attached: siege 6 threads vs 12.jpg (3836x1044, 567K)

If you don't care about your money then yes.

>not making sweet love to your GPU for maximum GAINS
You gay or something?

We dont know m8, could it be an issue with the gpu?

you did very good for gaming, enjoy.

>pcpartpicker.com/list/DbtbGG
Thoughts? This will be my first build. Most of this is from one of the build guides, but it looks like it fills my needs at a reasonable price. I swapped in the 1070ti because it wasn't that much more expensive, but is it worth it? It also takes up 3 I/O plate slots, but is that something to I need to worry about? Is 16GB RAM too much?

Lastly, does anybody have any alternative case suggestions? I may want to add a disc drive in the future, so one that can accommodate that would be cool.

>M.2 is a form factor, NOT a performance standard
M.2 is a SET of form factors which are NOT mutually compatible in the slightest. The easiest thing to generalize is that WiFi M.2 only fits in a WiFi M.2 slot, which I believe is E-key.

>Graphics cards
Wait 2 weeks for RX 590 to come out, Bitcoin to crash further, mining complexity issues to set in, holiday sales to hit, and then buy a new card. It's retardetry to recommend buying graphics right now - prices will not normalize until the holidays. If you do, buy a cheapie that will hold you over for a month or two.

because dumbfuckery

Do you even build?

Attached: do you even lift.jpg (418x289, 21K)

cause it's a budget cpu you fucking retard
stop your constant whining about your shitty 2600

Except, the graphics settings are at their lowest, the GPU is OCed as far as it stable and reasonable and my old 7 year old intel system provided more consistent, though lower framerate with the same GPU.
After getting memed about ryzen smoothness and muh 4 core isn't enough, and those threads really help, I expected better frametimes in the lows, not worse.

>cause it's a budget cpu you fucking retard
stop your constant whining about your shitty 2600
So we agree that intel is the only good choice for gaming then? K case closed I guess.

just curious, why did you modify the timings?

*2 shekels have been deposited to your account*

(-_-(-_-)-_-)

I'll install siege and try for myself tonight. All I can say for sure is that I'm getting seemingly better performance in witcher 3 using the same gpu on my new build, and I also am using bdie ram (3200 cas14), only I havent overclocked anything yet. I'm surely getting framerate dips because I'm running my settings high, but none of the dips are low enough or long enough to call it a stutter imo.

Unless AMD guarantees 7 year driver support for their cards then I won't buy one. Not after what they did to the 4,5 and 6K series.

>bring up the cpu sucks, show proof
>BAH, it's just a shit cpu, fuck off
>okay then it's a shit cpu then
>AMD shills flare up
I guess it's hard when you have to both make the ryzen out to be perfect and great at everything and at the same time have zero responsibility behind your product.

Thanks man I appreciate your help. Be sure to use Fraps to record the benchmark frametimes.
Just be sure to lower the visual settings to lowest and to keep the fps limit at least 144fps.

As strong as ever !

Attached: 1539640319242.png (1260x1761, 382K)

you've been harping on about your shitty 2600 for like a week now. get over it

Posting again for opinions.

Attached: newest-1.png (704x492, 43K)

Your data is worthless until you post another graph that pits it against a $150 Intel CPU.

I wont get over it. I will either fix this at some point through sheer magic, or I will use those 12 threads for the only thing they are good for and post on Jow Forums to save any other people form falling into the same misfortune as me.
As far as all emprical evidence and tests show to me all the ryzen praise are a fucking meme right now, I will be sure to let people know.

>r-ryzen is smooth
>yeah well it's more stuttery than a 7 year old intel, though it has higher average fps
>p-post it vs 150$ intel cpu
pathetic.

>OP says to buy Ryzen
>anons say Ryzen is shit
I'm got confused again

Attached: confused anime girl 23.jpg (225x225, 8K)

looks fine. Though if you are going to spend that much, why not just go for a 2700x?

google.com/amp/s/thenextweb.com/shareables/2015/11/06/psa-if-you-dont-want-to-grow-shrooms-in-your-gpu-you-should-probably-clean-your-computer/?amp=1

There's different ryzens to buy. One is good one is bad. Just like there are different Intel CPUs to buy. You wouldn't buy a core i3 today

>p-post it vs 150$ intel cpu
>pathetic.
Why? For all you know it could be better than an equally priced Intel alternative.
Do you realize that you spent more money on your RAM than your CPU?

how do I benchmark frame timings without buying any games?

are short cards any good?

Attached: vega 56 nano.jpg (1600x1200, 145K)

The 2700x is 50% more expensive than the 2600x, but only seems to be about 7% better in real world benchmarks.

>One is good one is bad
which is the good one?

Download free game benchmarks. Final Fantasy 15 has one that will stress out modern systems.

In gaming, yes, but in work it is significantly better.

1600 ultra satisfied

Attached: Untitled-1.jpg (1920x1200, 625K)

My last build was shit apparently, so I made a new one, is it any good?
pcpartpicker.com/list/MTFM29

They're only good for form factor. In exchange you're paying more money and worse cooling.

which ever one you didn't buy. unless you buy all of them they will tell you "no that other one is the good one"

>no performance metric insight
wow so impressive, look at that low cpu usage
post some frametime graphs.
But to be honest, if you are happy with it, good for you user.

that's her uncle

idk what is that

also i game rarely hence the R9

Best way to build a PC with 400 euros?

Will there ever be a 4k, 144Hz FreeSync monitor?

What specifically? The largest benchmark diferince I could find was 7zip where it's 20% better.

zen2 when?

Attached: 1532914232232.png (876x773, 51K)

zen3

what part of europe are you from?
what do plan to do with your pc?

How low can GPU prices be expected to drop?

Programming and some solid works. Ireland

no.

Locked 9th gen when?

is the Sapphire AMD R9 280X Toxic edition a good match for a ryzen 3 2200G? or what is the cheapest recommended card for this chipset?

>what is the cheapest recommended card for this chipset?
Just get 2400g 4c/8t and use igpu

>2600x
>B450 motherboard
>not just getting a 2600+ literally any X470 Parentboard (>using "motherboard" in )
>crucial at that price when you can get samshit for a few $ more
>PSU???
>1070Ti at that price when the 1080 Armor is $499 on Amazon right fucking now
why are you a homosexual?

de.pcpartpicker.com/list/crnrP3

Lisa and Jensen = GPU cartel.

1xxx

2xxx

3xxx = zen 3

>base 3.9
>current 4.20
Nani the fuck
also disclose voltages you faggot

>2600x is more than enough for gaming
>msi b450 boards are better than their x470 boards
>mx500 are as good as an 860 evo

Workstation, do this instead:
2700/x

any motherboard over 100 but less than 170

Any 3000mhz ram

1070ti, or vega 56. 1080 is a waste of $100 over a 1070ti

Gaming:

8600k

Same as before for MB

Same for ram

1070ti, 1080ti, if on a gpu budget, 1060 6gb if you can find for less than 210 or if really on a gpu budget, 1050ti if less than $110

>2600+x470
That would be more expensive, what's the gain?
>Crucial vs samshit
It's the exact same, and the crucial is cheaper
>Armor
Opinion discarded

Used 1070ti or used vega 56? I aiming for maximum kikery and if I have to spend much more than $250 burger I'll just opt for a brand new rx580/590 instead

Attached: 1538565773390.png (472x369, 129K)

For some reason my server's motherboard refuses to boot without a GPU installed. My spare R9 270 uses 25 W just sitting there doing nothing, which will cost £25/year in electricity.

Are there any cards out there that would use less power and pay for themselves in a couple of years? The cheapest GT 1030 is £65 and apparently uses 8 W when idle so that'd take 4 years to pay for itself. The low end Radeons are OEM only, so I guess I'll have to look for a used card?

Attached: House-on-fire.jpg (903x678, 91K)

>getting a higher-priced processor for shittier b450-tier VRMS
>literally a 500gb samshit SSD for $86 right now
>Armor
>Opinion discarded
>I base my opinion on reviews of the 1080ti model where they slapped a 1080ti PCB with a 1080 cooler, where the PCB quite literally overshoots the cooler by at least an inch
Retard

pcpartpicker.com/list/MRtqV6
thoughts? Im not too sure about the mobo

Did you have stutters too with everything at stock?

Need a new SSD and have a choice:
New 860 EVO 500GB or Used 960 EVO 500GB

Both are 100 bucks so yeah. I will mainly use it for gaming and editing/moving around 4k video files. I kinda want the 960 for NVMe but idk if buying a used SSD is a good idea.

There are x470s with even shitter vrms than the tomahawk, you can't just make that blanket statement.

So don't get VRMlet mobos?

get the 1070ti
gamers sell used gtx cards, miners sell used vega cards

Why the fuck does everyone's 'recommendations' just reduce to 'buy a more expensive item'. If I had the money for a more expensive mobo, ssd, and gpu, I would have fucking picked them, or at least gotten bdie ram.

you have no idea what you're talking about

I need a PC for 3d modeling and gaming but the modeling is more important. I'll wait for the cyber monday sales to see if any of the parts will have a better price because I set my budget to around € 1300. Will this setup work or should I use different parts?

Attached: pc.png (799x673, 89K)

pls respond

I am the meme I worship.

Attached: 20181030_003822~01~01.jpg (2349x3475, 893K)

Se that's what I thought too, but I've seen quite a few sellers today that are selling multiple 1070tis at the same time, which has me wary

That fucking cooler blows my mind every time I see it

They are selling them, because people are retards and are buying 2070s....

I'll sell you my 1070ti for $300

>fractal design
>noctua
One look and I knew you was my nigga

No what I mean is that one seller is selling 2+ of the same card. I suppose they could be reselling cards they bought off some other chumps though

or they SLI'd but yeah, if they are selling more than 2, Don't buy them

looks fine, look at the Corsair - 200R if you want a optical drive

2xxx is zen 1 refresh

Cool. Thanks for the suggestion. So the GPU thickness isn't an issue?

works on my machine (:

Attached: ifauuh.png (2552x1317, 125K)

Are there any dual-monitor stands that allow for the screens to switch positions? So far all I saw had them stuck on either side of the mount

would a i5 2500k at 4.6ghz bottleneck a gtx 1060?
