I have an i5 8600k oc at 4.9ghz and a 1080ti and game at 1440p 144hz as well. KI have yet to find a game where the cpu is the bottleneck.

Yeah, it seems like a fine gaming-rig. CPU is a bit weak for streaming (while gaming) but if you're not into that you're fine.

Your reported RAM speed and timings is bizarre, though. I'll just assume reported information is plain wrong but double-check that it is (DDR4 running at 1500 MHz sounds unlikely)

Most /v/-tier idiots think that '3200mhz' memory is running at 3200mhz. This is wrong, it's not '3200mhz' but 3200MT/s - Mega (an Si prefix for 1 million) Transfers per second.
DDR memory does 2 transfers per clock cycle (it's in the name - double data rate) - 3200MT/s DDR4 for example runs at 1600mhz.

Just bought another stick and paid for two day shipping only to get it and it's DOA. First doa I've ever had. Not even detected by the MB, but oddly windows sees 16gb, but only 8gb is for use.

This kinda ruined the Micron name for me, and I was about to buy a SSD. Probably not now.

I only got the second one yesterday for a pretty decent price. So far I've seen improvements in the few games I play. Went from 40-50 fps with ultra settings in GTA V/Witcher 3 to solid 60 at 1440p. 3x1440p is still not reaching past 30 for either game but I wasn't expecting to, seeing as that's something like 33% more pixels than 4k. I'd say if you have the power supply/motherboard for it and can get a second card for a decent price why not.
