I "upgraded" to Windows 10 and now Hydrus network won't boot, halp It hangs on LOADER: Running pyi_rth_twisted.py The same exact hydrus install works flawlessly on Windows 7 running from a secondary drive.

How do Apache/nginx virtual hosts work? Are the virtual hosts automatically doing SNI?
Grayson Hill
Yes, by default it always tries to get the best quality. There are options available if you want a lower quality or different format for whatever reason as well. Occasionally, it will for some reason output the video as an mkv file instead of the usual mp4 or webm, but it works all the same.

I'm trying to deploy a jekyll site to a remote server using git. This is my first time using git and it's just not working. I think I'm just dumb as shit and missing something obvious. I have my jekyll folder with all of my html files, _layouts and all the other jekyll stuff. I ran git --bare init in there, git add . to add the files, then git commit -m "yada yada". Created a bare repo on the server, edited the post-receive file to copy the files from the git repo to the public html folder (made it executable). Created a remote back on my local machine and pushed to remote. No files are showing up on my server though and I'm completely lost.

4chanx doesn't show webm title metadata any idea why??
How do i into information security? The goal is not malicious skiddie shit, but to actually learn and have it as a hobby and skill. Looking for solid guides, tools, literature, tutorials, recourse websites etc.
Is there a program that lets me shut down the hard drive whenever I want? I have it set up to stop after 20 mins of inactivity but I'd like more control over that

Is there a way on the Verizon FIOS remote control to quickly schedule a show in the future so that it tunes to it when the show starts automatically?
Because right now I have to go to the show in the future, hit the options button, hit the down button a few times to then schedule it. And the box is kinda slow. Needs more ram I think. I don't know

If I wanna replace one of these things, all I need to check is that the amperage is compatible and it should be fine, right? Also on this one the plug says "16A" and the end pictured says 10A, I assume I can safely assume the thing it came with shouldn't draw more than 10A.
Probably an idea dumb enough to fit in here. Name one (or more) reasons why I shouldn't just do this: cd ~ git init
to keep my dotfiles, scripts and whatever else synced between devices and backed up. The idea is to add all the files manually, git add * is out of question obviously.

How do I get the linux 4.4 version when I'm using debian sid? I checked the buster backports and its the exact same version
IEC 60320 C13/C14, the connector itself is rated for 10A max which is a lot desu, unless you're in America.
Compile it yourself, debian has an article about custom kernels, is not that hard.

I'm on Win 7 64 bit and I have no sound in any web browsers (Chrome, Chromium, FF or IE) as of yesterday. I have system sounds, music plays fine; only web browsers have no sound. Website doesn't matter. Tabs are not muted, the mixer isn't muted, reinstalled/updated drivers, have wavemapper and the registry entry for it, the "play sounds in webpages" option is checked in Internet Options and I've done multiple restarts. I don't recall installing anything new, haven't installed updates in ~3 days, and there are no newer restore points than that one so I can't identify what caused the sudden change.
Any other ideas, or should I just say fuck it and system restore? The only reason I haven't already is because when I did a system restore a few months ago, it partially restored some programs I had uninstalled (making them uninstallable via control panel) and also lost a few files I had downloaded that day, despite system restore's assurance that my personal files wouldn't be touched.
thank you earlier anons for soldering suggestions I found a 951 on ebay for $175 pretty excited to get started just have to wait for the other supplies to get in. I am thinking about ordering a conical bent tip as well because I read that they are handy all around but I will start with the one it came with
also through my search I found that hakko offers a 30% student on their shit you just have to email them about it. I don't have a .edu address so I just went with ebay.

I really like this Halloween CSS. How do I save it or keep it for the future? Can I apply it later with the native extension or do I need Jow Forums X or something?
Thank you! So I just install this with stylus? Or do I copy the CSS and apply it with Jow Forums X?
If I copy it, would it be easy to edit it so that it uses different .gifs or a static image while keeping the cool glowing effect around the orange text?

I recorded some footage with obs, but somehow it put the framerate to 1000 instead to 60. now I cant encode it to DNxHQ with adobe media encoder for editing because it's too retarded to realise that this is a bug. how do I fix the mkv file?
Does anyone know why this is happening? It works all the way up to 100. Once it gets to 62 I have to input a non int and press enter and then it finishes. I'm using CodeBlocks. I was using NetBeans earlier but on that it wouldn't output 100 at all, it'd just stop at 62
Say I have website and user wants to download a file and clicks the download link. However I have not a file ready and it must be generated after user clicks the link. Generating the file will take few dozens seconds. The file is zip, so I could theoretically send user first few bytes right away so he can for instance choose save location and start downloading the file immediately. Is it possible? How would I go about that? Basically I need the user to be able to start download the file which is not ready yet right away without waiting on some page saying "Generating your file".

I've been thinking about getting a NAS for home use, I want to do RAID 5 or 6 and store all of my porn and illegally downloaded movies and chinese cartoons on it. The drives in my computer are starting to fill up quickly and i need more storage space. I also want to be able to stream my shit to my TV, so PLEX support is important.
most likely going to buy the HDDs separate so I can scale up storage space as I need it. Probably going to get four 4tb WD reds to start out, and do a RAID 5 for 12tb total storage, and have an external drive connected for backing up important stuff.
Books, comics, video, emulators, video in order of importance.

I have a python script that picks a random entry of one of the dictionaries defined in it. I call it with
./my_script.py dictionary_one
But then it complains that "dictionary_one" is a string and not a dictionary. How do I tell python to look for the "dictionary_one" dictionary without having to use conditionals or a case statement?
Right now I have to work around this with it, since "sys.argv[1]" is a string. chosen_deck = sys.argv[1]
if chosen_deck == "reward": the_deck = reward elif chosen_deck == "wound": the_deck = wound else: print "No deck found with such name."
Any ideas?
Carson Robinson
>what is a good prebuilt NAS computer? They're all pretty much shit. If you want it to transcode on the fly to different devices, you'll want to build your own. For the price, I'd recommend just doing your own. You can get some older AMD motherboards with 8 SATA ports on them, and build a pretty cheap setup with enough processing power to serve up your vids. >should I try and make my own with FreeNAS? Yeah, but don't fall for all the dumb memes. Like ECC memory, it's not required. Even the guy that made the software at Sun says it's not needed for most use cases. The 1GB ram per 1TB is just a guideline, but if you have 16GB or ram that should be good for just about any build right now. There is a lot of information on the FreeNAS forums, but the guys there are autistic BSD faggots.

i was looking at maybe getting a Synolog DS918+
The SHR looks really cool, It would allow me to plop in larger HDDs as I need them. does FreeNAS have an option like that?

What is a good Full-Tower case that has a handle, is sturdy and durable, can support 5.25" drive bays and is in stock? I have been stumbling about looking through cases because I think I'll find one and I'll realize it has shit reviews for durability or no drive bay support.
Leo Perez
>$550 for a Intel Celeron J3455 setup that can only handle 4 drives. Not worth it at all.
>does FreeNAS have an option like that? Yes, but it's not as straight forward as some of the prebuilt setups.
Dylan Anderson
Is there a tech support service that can deal with old people? Willing to pay for this.
yeah the CPUs being sub par was one of my main worries with buying a prebuilt. I was thinking of maybe getting a used Xeon or something so the rebuild times on the array aren't so agonizing but I'm not sure.
I really would like a small form factor though. It's going to be in my room on top of a storage drawer, so a huge heavy server rack with 24 drive bays and super loud fans is really overkill and not necessary. I only need like 16-20tb and 4-6 drives is fine.
expand-ability would be nice too I guess, maybe If I decide to run a file server or something for anons to contribute too, something like Jow Forums's murderkube would be a cool project to do. Synology has a cool little expansion computer that pairs with thier NAS devices, I wonder if FreeNAS is capable of doing something like that with multiple computers .

Does anyone know how to make a 2D array print to a new line? I have a 20x40 array and it doesn't print to a new line when I run it. I tried making the 41st character in it to be a new line but that broke the code. >c++

Fractal Design Node 804 with ASRock FM2A88M and a cheap processor and PSU and you're under the $550 target, with more power, and a lot more expansion. >I wonder if FreeNAS is capable of doing something like that with multiple computers . Yes, FreeNAS can do more than any of the prebuilt things. It's enterprise server grade software. The hard part is learning all the terminology they use, and the dickhead users on their forum.

There any way to sort out MPC not playing DVDs? I got a bunch for free but it won't play some of them. Gives a "copy-protect fail" message that, according to resources I could find, is fixed by either updating to the then-current version, or installing a codec pack that I already have installed. VLC will play them fine but I like MPC a lot better.

What are good/bad CPU idle temps for a desktop CPU?
Jackson Clark
Anything below 90C is fine. Idle should be around half that, ideally.
Connor Ramirez
It's going to be winter soon, so go all out! Turn on all the settings on ultra. It's getting colder! The CPU won't mind.
pls help I'm too much of a brainlet to understand this

Keep track of the array dimensions in a seperate variable? Multidimension arrays are just compiler magic, it all gets stored and accessed as a flat array when actually ran.

hey macfags what kind of fps do you get in unreal 2004 on the 2004 emac? it's a g4 1ghz with ati graphics. it meets the system requirements and has the max 1gb ram but i get like 20 fps and half second long hitches at 640x480 on the lowest settings. i can't tell if there is something wrong with the computer or if this garbage performance is normal.
you can download the powerpc demo from pc gaming wiki if you're curious about your machine.
Christian Carter
Try just remounting the heat sink. Probably have an air bubble in the middle of the paste.
Aaron Roberts
>garbage performance is normal. This.
Samuel Richardson
general idle temps should be 30C-45C. anything higher indicates a problem with the cooler mounts, thermal paste application, or airflow (dust).
Hotswapping is a meme. It takes 30 seconds to take the side panel off and slide the drive carriage out. Also, that case can support like 12 drives, so you could mount spares and just move the SATA cables to them when they're needed.
Kevin Harris
>Literally not a thing. It can cause 'air bubbles' depending on how it was applied.

aren't there small supermicro server things with 6 drive bays

Same, but Army, and doing satellite stuff. I mess with routers/switches/servers/etc too, but primarily satellite based networking. Pay on the outside is great, and job security is excellent, because you can't just go to university to learn it. All of the employers want experience and a clearance, so joining the military is pretty much the only way to qualify for the jobs.
