Why would you do that to yourself?

I have multiple external harddrives. I sort my stuff in very basic folders based on format (film/series) and quality. When i change stuff i run a script that calls rsync on all mounted drives and copies every directory into an index dir but skips the actual files. That way i can use another script to call find -iname whateveriwantnow in that index directory and immediately know where i can find what I'm looking for. Additionally i have a mirror drive for every new one i set up, basically a manual raid 1 just to be save. Also

Into the trash directory.

I just throw them in a folder

i mostly use streaming these days for all my anime needs but i still have more than 550 gigs on my external HDD

i can't bring myself to delete everything , maybe someday ...

I have currently more than 3TB of 720p anime across 4 hard drives on 3 computers. When a disk becomes full I move things to another disk and organize what's in my download folder and move episodes to folders named after their series.

I completely agree. So are many of the other anime in my screenshot. I just can't bring myself to delete them because i'm a data hoarder

get better tastes

The default agent.

you should try the Absolute Series Scanner and HamaTV agent. Allows you to have a single anime library for both shows and movies

I tried Hama before when Plex was hosted on my desktop. I prefer to separate TV from movies so the default works well for me.

I have 8TB of porn that I organize by actress

How do you deal with "movies" that contain multiple actresses? I've been too lazy to think of a solution for this problem so I just dump everything in the same folder

I have all my anime in an Emby library. I use the Emby interface to watch since progress is automatically tracked no matter which device I watch from.

>projecting
>a so strong case of autism, it prevents him from behaving like a normal person
lmao, you even exposed your mental disease by telling about that completely abnormal behavior, go change your adult diapers and watch anime loser, lol

I put it in the one that I like more. If it's a full movie I have a folder for those but 99% is single scenes.

Just dump everything in one folder

This is a dumb question; obviously by anime title.

Manage, not Sort.

Ranger and mpv then.

I store my manga on an 8 GB SD card. I've almost run out of space (around 750 MB left) so I'll probably get another one soon.

Big folder, no fanciness.

I put them on my server and let plex do the sorting

Idk senpai, looks like a Linux board to me.

a bookshelf

If you can read Japanese, it makes the most sense, otherwise for practical reasons you should use the Romaji or English release name.

>Romaji or English release name.
No just the romaji one.

Well, it will always be a mixture, because Japanese borrows a lot of words, writing those as English makes the most sense.

Prime examples:

Burakku Kurōbā -> Black Clover
Wan Pīsu -> One Piece

Something like Suzumiya no Harui no Yuutsu is fine, likewise as Toaru Majutsu no Index, as they are mostly if not all Japanese words.

>Kurōbā
Kuroobaa*
>Pīsu
Piisu*

But you're right, English loan words should be spelt in normal English.
Everything else romaji.

>re encodes
>cartel groups
Yikes

This is the only correct answer

Currently, a RAID 5 server of 4 4TB drives, so only 12TB are available. Anime is over half of that. The array is out of space right now and I feel pretty uncomfortable with how vulnerable all of my data is from a drive dying and the RAID rebuild killing a second drive partway, so I've decided to dismantle the array and keep everything as separate drives. To that end, I've ordered another 3 4TB drives and I'm waiting on the last one. I'll copy my data to the new disks, dismantle the array, and then reorganize my data. I have SMART monitoring which isn't perfect but hopefully I can get early warning when a disk is about to bite the dust so I can replace it, with at most only one disk's worth of data being in danger.

TL;DR, my stuff will be spread across 7 4TB drives in about a week.

I manage what anime I've watched via a private MAL account. Only I can see my list.

Supreme taste oniichan

That's basically my system too. I prefer the Japanese title in romaji over the English title (so Shingeki no Kyojin instead of Attack on Titan) but English words where appropriate (so Saint Seiya instead of Seinto Seiya).

you obviously don't share the same values as people here do so why are you here?

Streaming.

7.5TB spread out across a few 4TB drives
about to get a few 8TB drives and set up raid 5, now that they're cheap

I run a hadoop cluster

Delete after watching. Most I can redownload if I ever want to waste my time on rewatching a series. If it's something older, I throw it on my roommates NAS with all the older, hoarded anime. E.g. LotGH.

Not that I watch anime anymore. Shit mostly sucks. I can barely tolerate reading manga now.

Got a few different things for anime first is sonarr for snatching them only downside is its sometimes a bit shit for anime but manually searching isn't an issue if you need to. Also got jackett to let sonarr use more trackers. I got Plex to manage my anime and use Kodi as a front-end with Plex Kodi connect. Comfy setup desu

you can save a bit of money on the drives by buying these desu amazon.co.uk/Seagate-Desktop-External-Creative-Photography/dp/B01IAD5ZC6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1541143201&sr=8-1&keywords=8tb seagate external io opened my 6tb one recently and it has a barracuda inside so I got it like £30 cheaper

not a single result on there says windows 10 lol how old is that pic?

I have transmission detect if it's an anime and then stick it in my external drive's anime folder. Then I stream it from Plex. I tried using Sonarr a while back, but I think my config is broken. Didn't care enough to fix it.

Kek looks like we found ourselves a serious M

Upload that directory and share your sweet cherry pie pls I want

that was my plan, its $50s savings in the burger
big question
WD or seagate? they're at the same price now

Share pls I had a 6tb full of goodness that recently failed and didn’t have the money to buy a larger HDD to back up to and don’t have space on my machine

After I finish a series I put it into a folder rating it from Tier 0-4
>0 being my first anime
>1 being decent/good
>2 being "fun but not worth another watch"
> 3 being "waste of time"
>4 being shit anime that's worse than tier 3
Inside each tier the anime is sorted into their categories like mecha, SOL, etc...
Before I'm finished with a series it is stored in a big unorganized folder

i'd go with seagate to be safe a lot of wd drives have a microb on the drive instead of using a sata adapter in the case desu

Attached: 42174883_p0_master1200.jpg (826x1169, 89K)

I don't, I'm not 14 anymore

how do you do this?

so how does it feel to be 15?

How was ergo proxy? I have it downloaded but not watched yet.

Sonarr + Jackett
Just add an anime and it goes downloaded then sorted into the correct dir

Why would you waste all that space? Why store them? Just download what you are currently watching and delete it when you are done.
Did you buy some 8tb hdd on black friday cause Jow Forums said it was a good deal and don't know what to fill it with?

Better question is how does Jow Forums maintain their meme folder? It became bloated and hard to categorize at some point, like some pictures belong to more than one category. And checking if you already have this picture before saving it is a nightmare.

Jesus dude, it's just stupid chineese cartoons, not library of alexandria, no need going to such lengths preserving it. It's not like you are going watch most of this stuff for a second time.

Why do you bother storing shit you hate

store that shit on cloud storage and deal with it through plex

Attached: Screenshot_20181102-083022.png (1440x2560, 3.14M)

180+ TV series and counting, 54TB server all up. All anime movies are just in general movies section.
