Typical. Apple copies a thing Windows users have had for years.
I just extracted calc.exe from Win7.
Correction: Apple copies a thing Windows users have had for MANY years.
why are gooeys going to shit?
Neither is bad, and in a lot of ways the Win10 calc.exe is superior. While it's kind of awkward having to click over to a separate tab to see and toggle bits, it does make the digits a more comfortable size to click easily. It's also nice seeing your numbers in decimal, hex, octal and binary as you work with them.
they've had this forever dumbfuck, i have it in Yosemite
take it the loo
why the FUCK would you even do that, it seems pointless

why is binary useful? ask me how I know you code in javascript
Okay guys seriously, how did this even make it past QA?
it's pretty helpful for subnetting for example
>talking shit on the apple calculator when it has had RPN for years
Is this some kind of a gimmick? How is having binary shit like this helpful to a programmer in any way?
>a female cow(bull)
literally the only use, and even then this is 10x more useful

binary isn't useful
making bitmasks
uh, it has nothing to do with useful. If youre working at the machine code level, it's what there is.
Windows 10 calculator a garbage and a joke. When you click the history button it takes control over the enter key until you manually click the equal button with the mouse. It's fucking retarded.
Took you 3 posts with numerous replies telling you you're stupid and yet you continue to post. Amazing.
>can't vlsm in your head
ouch
So fucking annoying holy shit.
I use it more for the hex calculation rather than straight binary.
HAHAHAHAH YES MY SIRS APPLIL BEETEEFOO
MICROSOFT NUMBER 1 SIRS
I do that shit by hand, I've never encounter binaries bigger than a million for example.
Also, install a binary clock widget or so, it helps you a lot with that.
MacOS had a programmer calculator for a long time. Before 10.6
>Win10 calc.exe
In Win10 calc.exe is not a calculator, its a file that that opens Calculator.exe which is a Windows store application.
That calculator has been in macOS for ages.
Didn't know this. Neat.

a lot of languages have hex literals but not binary literals, so unless you can do it in your head or want to convert it by hand, these tools are handy
