This one was made first, have to stick by the rules. Ya shoulda linked it though, you had plenty of time. Besides, shotas are cuter than lolis.

not a question but here's a stupid story I have >one day out of the blue the audio and video on chrome starts desyncing on whatever I watch >doesn't matter if it's youtube, netflix, etc. the lip sync and audio would just get further and further and be shit >only on chrome and nothing else >try fresh installing chrome etc etc. >nothing works >one day randomly unplug my ethernet cable and plug it back in >never have this issue again honestly what the fuck. How does a problem like that even happen, let alone get solved by unplugging the ethernet cable. Makes no fucking sense sometimes I hate computers so goddamn much

How do I backup like way less shit. I don't have enough space for fucking 250 gigs. Do I really need the system image? I just want it to keep the bare minimum needed if my computer somehow gets fucked over, I can reinstall some steam games and keep saves, and same for movies or shows.
What the shit is in that 244 gigs? Apart from just raw file backups to an external location all i have is a system install image on a USB drive.
Gavin Ward
I have no idea, I tried looking, I think it was trying to basically consolidate my whole ssd or something. I hear a system install image isn't even that important, maybe I'll do that but I'm just gonna stick with a couple steam games and pictures.
Levi Hughes
Oh and apparently my system image is 180 gigs...is there way to make that smaller? I mean i basically own a 750 gig hdd otherwise, talk about false advertising
Camden Gray
First of all, yes I realize this is bullshit since I don't even have a webcam. BUT - the part where it says "I have your password - " it actually was an OLD password I used probably 10+ years ago. I checked my current password list and it's not in use anywhere anymore.
Most likely scenario - they just got their hands on a password database that's 10 years old from some site and use it to scare people since they are likely to recognize their old password?
>no webcam so this scam would be worthless if I were to fall for the poor spelling anyways
Robert Nguyen
Yes. Finding password database dumps is a common tactic for hackers, scammers, and malicious actors in general. I remember attending a conference where someone ran through the typical day to day activities of a black hat hacker, and one of those things included searching around for leaked password dumps.

What OS? I've never experienced such a thing, although recently my browser had a memory leak so bad it ended up slowing down my entire computer until the browser eventually crashed. By the end I think it had taken up 10 of my 16 gigs of RAM, plus a good amount of my swap space. Pretty sure I can't link the uncropped image on Jow Forums.

Recently I've noticed trying to play .swf files, both in browser and on a standalone player, makes the audio completely fucked. It sounds like the bass has been completely blown out and makes the sound on every .swf file I try to play about as bad as a garbage ear rape edit. I can't find anything on the issue, only results I get are unrelated problems. I've already checked my audio drivers and they're up to date.

Guys, how does offline location tracking work on mobile devices? I'm asking because I'm testing offline GPS apps on my android device, but it's kind of shitty. Works well when it does, but sometimes it can't even find my location.
Is it via satellite and dependent on your SIM card or something?

How can factory reset iphone 6 without password, the apple id or pin.
In addition, I have the opportunity to buy a 4TB WD drive for $75 (New), should I get it, or will the price go down soon for black friday?
Daniel Perez
Depends on the drive really. I wouldn't use it for anything important, but if it's relatively light use like storing and playing back videos you'll be alright. Just check the failure stats for the drive on backblaze. I wouldn't touch a new Seagate 2TB, much less a refurb.
Jaxon Sanchez
What should I look for in a new monitor? I want to spend 400 -500 dollars this coming black Friday. I know that won't get me some premium 4k display but I would like something quite a bit nicer than the 2014 100 dollar Acer display?

If I bought a mid-range CPU and a mid-range GPU, which one would most likely bottleneck the other?
Obviously you'd rather have the GPU bottleneck the CPU so you can upgrade the GPU in the future, right?

When Windows recently updated, I had to jump through hoops to get chrome working again because it gave "establishing secure connection..." and "err_timed_out" errors on half the sites I visited.
It has been a few weeks and now I'm getting those errors again. I saved the registry edit I used and just tried it again, but it didn't work. I'm using Firefox now, but I'd really like Chrome back. Anyone know some other fixes?
Landon Moore
I think they're relatively safe. I recently got a refurbished Seagate for my NAS and it seems to be working just fine. Install GNU/Linux "shota yaoi" on duckduckgo. He's in there somewhere.

Whats best VM on windows? HyperV, virtualbox or vmware or something else?
Dominic Perez
I've had good experience with VMware on Windows. The UI is pretty nice, and so is performance, at least in the paid version. I had to use it for college once. Virtualbox always just werks on any platform, but that's its flaw. It "just werks". If you just want to run some loonix VMs for fun or a WIndows VM to run some random program, it'll work out just fine. Just don't expect anything too intensive to work out. It IS open source, which is nice if you care about that, but if that matters to you, KVM on loonix is miles better. I have no experience with Hyper-V

what are some recommended cheapo routers with 1gbit ports and decent wlan?

Last one I used was from about 10 years ago, Logitech, it was heavy as fuck and had noticeable lag, maybe things are different now but if the cord isn't a problem I wouldn't risk changing.

Personally, I've never had a good time reading manga on e-readers. The pictures always look shittier than they do on regular displays, so I can't recommend it for reading manga. On top of that, you'd need to constantly hook it up to your computer and add chapters/volumes, which can get frustrating.
I personally installed Tachiyomi on my old tablet (nexus 9) and it has been my manga reading device for a long time. It auto updates with new chapters from sites, you can put your personal volumes on it, and it keeps track of how far you are in each series without any setup. Regarding books, any e-reader will do; just download calibre to your computer and send the books over via cable. You can also do the same with any regular tablet (though without the benefit of an e-display, which is quite nice for text) using moonreader or some other library management/reader app.

Do Samsung or Seagate hard drives sound like a fucking jet engine during take off or is just a WD thing? I swear this fucker gets louder everyday, I can hear it upstairs now.
Thinking about ordering a laser engraver/cutter from aliexpress. Any you would recommend for a few hundred euros?
Something that's strong enough to engrave, or even cut some kinds of metal would be great.

>Have downloader addon (Jdownloader, Video downloadhelper and Easy Video Downloader to be accurate, none of which really work) >Try to use Jdownloader >Tells me to install some botnet or I can't download file >Cancel botnet >File automatically cancels >Restart it from download button >Downloads without a problem >Now, no matter what I download even if it's a right click save as, a new tab will instantly open telling me to install the botnet, but it only appears after the download has finished >Unsurprisingly this now happens for all addons
I understand it was something to do with Firefox changing the way it downloads or some shit. All I want to do is to stop the new tab constantly appearing, especially when it's for something irrelevant that doesn't use the addon. I could remove them, but they're still useful from time to time, and I can't just keep one because some work on some sites and not others. Someone send halp pls.
