What do you use?

>font smoothing
Otherwise, good taste.

Anything actually wrong with font smoothing or is this just one of those autistic purists things?

GNU+Linux

W-Windows Font Rendering is SHIT!

>not Haiku OS

There's literary nothing wrong with font smoothing unless it is on an image that isn't viewed at 1:1 scale

Go jump in a lake, you don’t even know what the fuck you’re saying.

The classic theme in Windows 7 would have been perfect if it used GPU acceleration like all other themes in the OS do.

That's all it needs.

What do you mean?

Gnu + Linux doesn't have this problem ;^)

But that's literally what I use.
Any my start bar is on the top of the screen.

I bet you wear a fedora

What's the purpose of having the taskbar on the top?

I could make up some bullshit, but it's honestly just habit.

Thick (default) Windows 7 taskbar buttons or small as in the OP?

Small buttons. Every point of every pica counts.

I don't want to disable hardware acceleration.

Good taste.

And? It's not like a modern computer can't use software rendering to render the desktop/windows without problems.

enjoy your screen tearing

i dont have windows 7 sorry OP

I unironically enjoy it.

Where is this thread? I must verify the fatness of the ass.

*Tips operative system

Seems like it is dead.

Can confirm, the ass was fat.

plasebo, with or without it w7 font [arial] is garbage

absolutely disgusting - get a real theme like arc dark

based CPMposter

>he uses sound canvas VA and not a physical module

That I'm using w7 with aero because it actually keeps windows visible while I drag them?

I had one but sold it. The difference is microscopic unless you have autism.
Also,
>not using a SD-90 module

Why? Because it looks ugly.

>icons don't match
Your taste is utter fucking dogshit and you should feel bad.

Windows 8.1 is more stable

Sorry but you have no reason to give an opinion. What abomination are you even using? Looks like the retarded offspring between Win 7 Aero and Windows 10.

Based Win 8.1 Embedded bro

Windows 10 is now infinitely superior.

Based Microsoft listens to customers and implements what we want.

Plus you still get security updates and patches. Windows 7 is dead.

But they get your information in exchange.

>listens to customers and implements what we want.
Mandatory updates? More telemetry? File-deleting updates? Less compatibility with old apps? Ads, Ads, Ads, Ads, Ads?

That's Windows 8 in a nutshell.

You've been using garbage for so long that you can't appreciate nice things anymore. What a shame. Just kill yourself.

Look at yourself before speaking about garbage.

My theme is consistent and polished. Yours looks like a mish mash of 90s vomit and 2010s smartphone UI. Fucking hideous.

Use Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019.

Are you being sarcastic?

No. Your theme looks worse than what I squeeze into the toilet bowl every morning.

Do you shit on your monitor?

I have to because even on good hardware I've always had horrible frame rate drops with aero. Screen tearing is annoying though.

Are you sure it wasn't a driver issue?

>not moving the task bar to the right so you win few precious vertical pixels

I shit in your mom's cunt.

Happened on my last 3 builds even on a clean install. After a couple hours of uptime most of the UI elements drop to something like 30hz.

I lived with it for years because killing and starting dwm fixes it but I cracked and went to the classic theme when my new build last year had the exact same issue.

based and shitpilled

i get paid to use win10

Discontinued

The Aero themes are using the GPU.
The classic theme uses the CPU. It results in desktop composition being disabled, and what appears to be some graphics features either being disabled or reverted back to older methods (unsure precisely what, I'm going to assume its Direct X vs DirectDraw stuff...I dunno).

Running GPU intense applications (especially ones designed for Windows 7) while using the classic theme sometimes has hick-ups, especially if the application is in windowed mode.

My guess is that the classic theme was just intended to run on older machines and other things like when you use remote desktop, rather than "I picked this theme because I like how it looks".

Linux has its own share of problems though, many of which seem to snowball very quickly.
It ends up feeling like you're completing a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle just to flick a light switch on or off.

Most of the time in Windows I can at least quickly conclude that the light switch is either a few clicks away, or just isn't there at all.
