CudaText

>sublime is proprietary

CudaText is written in the ultimate chad language: Pascal.

Why aren't you using CudaText, Jow Forums?

I'm impressed. Honestly
I'll give a try tomorrow

How is this related to Cuda?

Disclaimer: word "cuda" is taken from Serbian language, it means "miracles".

>thought it was actually written on top of CUDA
already too disappointed to bother

>not using notepad++

BecauseI use eclipse with a vim plugin.

I use vim, if I feel like using a gui I use Kate

>need an RTX2080Ti to run a text editor

would be the best meme

Tried running it, it created a window icon on the taskbar, but no actual window...

That is unfortunate, it seemed promissing...

just werks

it means the same in Polish

>vscode is microdick
Code - OSS is 100% FOSS. github.com/Microsoft/vscode

I use sublime and arch btw

serbs don't have their own language. serbian is a bastardized mix between polish and russian.

>only autists use vim
is this true?

Yes.

No

emacs

Because neovim is infinitely better and the only chad language is scheme.

Yes
No
Yes

>inb4 No

The best editors are EMACS and ACME. Accept nothing else.

because emacs exsists

Should I be using something other than the default text editor I.e. Kwrite/gedit?
What do these editors do that others don't?

This I was expecting something crazy not this lame shit I'll stick with sublime

My question is when the fuck are the LSP guys gonna get their shit together so we can have lightweight text editors with flawless highlighting, code completion, interactive code generation, etc.

i use geany

It's not "cuda", you retard. It's "čuda". If it were based on Serbian it'd be called chuda.

>serbian is a bastardized mix between polish and russian.
Not to defend the Slavs, but it's by a definition a language. All languages are based on something, even if they're bastardized. That's like saying English is a bastardized version of German.

It would be chuda.
t.Serb

Because I switched to Emacs and it's freaking awesome.

Is the state of LSP servers (I guess that would be the right name?) still bad?

>he didn't build it direct from source
Nigger.

Holy shit I think this is the thing I was looking for, it's looks exactly like sublime but is foss, and it's not limetext (which I assume is dead?) I asked once here and retards replied with stuff like atom or vsode

It looks good but my only concerns are the following:
-Is it as snapping fast as sublime? it's the only text editor that open literally instantly (apart from cli editors of course)
-What the fuck are those giant ugly icons? can I disable them?

Also I don't really like notepad++ nor command line editors like vim
Besides isn't pascal like really shit?

>Besides isn't pascal like really shit?
Top kek. It's not like you're going to edit this editor's source code anyway.

Yes I know it's stupid, but my only experience with pascal was using delphi at school and goddamit the syntax is fucking trash

bump

>Only autists use vim
vim and visual studio are the best.
javascript programmers using javascript html programs cannot compete.

To clarify, not VSCODE horse shit.
Visual Studio the IDE.

>Big ass horrible icons
Discarded

Are you implying they can't be removed? Anyway i'll try it and see for myself, if it's not good enough i'll just stick to sublime

>snapping fast as sublime?

Pascal is compiled directly to binary, it's not some javascript web shit

>pascal like really shit?

it compiles 1000 times faster than c++

Didn't know that, but why is the syntax so fucking retarded?

So does ASM but I don't write code for compile times. I write code for the ability to read and manage it.

It was developed in the late 50s. It's even older than B.

Pascal is leaner, meaner and easier to manage than C/C++ code.

Because i'm an autist so I use vim

I used it for a bit. Then it kept crashing. Didn't care enough to figure out why.

the only right answer

does it open faster than sublime? UH?

>CudaText
>Faster than Sublime
Not at all, it cant handle large projects as well.On projects where sublime slows down CudaText Crash. Also due to the Lazarus Base the project will die.

this is why we can't have nice things.

>try it out
>deleted if five minutes later
even vs code is better, I'll stick with st3

I've had problems with the precompiled binaries, so I compiled my own. If you do, compile with GTK, not Qt. Opens pretty damn fast for me.

Also, if you go into the View menu, you can toggle the toolbar.

What's wrong with Lazarus?

Getting CUDA to work has always required a miracle desu

by that definition every language is a bastardized mix of another languages until we reach the top and its all ooga booga and pointing at things

>atom is based on electron
>vscode is microdick
Both are electron and "microdick".
VScode is also the best editor since VIM.
