You mean to say that you need DVI? What a fag.

Just use a HDMI to DVI dongle, shit is literally the same protocol for it's video signal so its just a passive pin-out change.

DONGLED

Pigtail then?

>Just use a HDMI to DVI dongle
To be stuck at 60Hz? No thanks

Its passive, it won't effect your upper limit of hz.

Protip, most "DVI" connectors on videocards for the past several generations have just been HDMI converted to DVI on board anyways. Basically you've been already using a HDMI2DVI bridge this whole time and never realized it.

Fucking good. Kill all legacy connectiond. Make way for new better shit.

DVI has no copyright protection.

HDMI can only passively emulate a DVI single link signal.
You need dual link to reach 120Hz. Which means you need an ACTIVE adapter

What's a dvi connector?

only poorfags (who should fuck off and use AMD) care about DVI

get on with the times Rajesh

Tfw my Vega doesn't have DVI and I give zero fucks because all of my displays use DP or HDMI.

Doesn't fucking matter, DP to DVI cables are $12 bux
You don't even need a fucking dongle.

my latency
my input lag
my worse quality image!

See

I finally sold off my 10 year old HP LP3065 (30" 2560x1600 IPS w/ CCFL backlight and DL-DVI input), since a decent active DP adapter would have been a reasonable fraction of the display's current value.

Unlike with VGA-requiring CRTs though, newer LCDs are strictly better in every regard than older ones. Sorry if you bought some Korean hackjob with overclocked DVI, but something coming out in the next year with standard DP 1.3/1.4 will kick the shit out of it anyway.

bull
shit

Quality control the past few years has been garbage in every way.
Clouding, Backlight bleed, and even shitty font rendering is standard now.

High refresh ones has interface pattern flipping and shit too cause theyre unstable as fuck.

fucking diablo mobile game killed monitors.

>VGA-requiring CRTs
bullshit as well

>fucking diablo mobile game killed monitors.
I don't get this reference

eh? went from LP3065 that I bought for $1200 to a LG 43UD79-B that cost me maybe $550 on sale and did not have any issues in my very small sample set of 1 new monitor. Yes, I still get IPS corner glow in a dark room because, yes, that is just what IPS has always and will always do, but I have no idea about all the other shit you're going on about. Are you claiming that new monitors fuck up fonts with sharpening filters that cannot be disabled or something? Try not getting a bargain basement piece of trash I guess. 43" UHD is pretty fucking nice, it was very affordable, and nothing in the market more than a few years ago even came close to matching or exceeding what it provides in a workstation display.

>>VGA-requiring CRTs
>bullshit as well
Not trying to start a holy war, just saying that old top-end CRTs are still competitive in a few areas.

>>fucking diablo mobile game killed monitors.
>I don't get this reference
I think this is the new /v/ outrage of the week.

>fucking diablo mobile game killed monitors
Different user to one above.

Had a look around on google

those pixels man.... those pixels

>having DVI 120hz monitor
lel

It's actually a 144Hz one :)

>I don't get this reference
It's literally from yesterday.

This is a technology board.
Only works with displayport++
