With ranger you can select files without leaving the homerow and press enter to automatically open them with the right program . And with linux you can open ranger with a simple keyboard shortcut. But since you're a windows plebian you can't use those kek.

theres a kodi addon called plex kodi connect which is nice allows you to manage your media with plex and play with kodi. You can also use kodi in windowed mode if you weren't aware desu
If it's something recently downloaded, I just open it from my torrent client, otherwise I just use Everything and search for the show and start it from there.
