>fucking screw won't come off
>made in China
Can I just snap this shit off without fucking anything up?
It leads to the power supply and HDMI (I use VGA) but i should be able to snap the end off right
>it's already cracked
>fucking screw won't come off
>made in China
Can I just snap this shit off without fucking anything up?
It leads to the power supply and HDMI (I use VGA) but i should be able to snap the end off right
>it's already cracked
Never mind I was twisting it the wrong way for some reason
I could probably just rip the thing out desu
Safety first
Let me know if there's anything I should be doing different Jow Forums
It's been years since I did this in work/college
just rip that shit off. The entire thing is obviously garbage and belongs in a trash can.
I'm refurbishing it, this computer was a gift
ok then. Personally I would exhaust every possible technique of non-destructive removal, and only as a last resort break something, and limiting the damage to the extent of my ability.
I was pretty good back in the day if I do say so myself
Not saving the screws so case and desk layout doesn't matter
if it will not screw out, I would try to pull it straight out with a small needlenose pliers, trying not to break anything.
It's stuck around this area
The only leverage I have, using my thumbs, is the hard drive or this weird gold button
What is part h6501 anyway
THE FUCKING hdd was screwed down right through everything. Fucking acer. Why is this a thing
If the black and white wires were to be ripped out before, putting my wifi at 2 bars, how would one boost the signal again?
Old style Ariel or tin foil? Wired how
Shit thread OP, even for a planned bait thread.
I just don't want to short circuit my network adapter
It fits, minus fans
Alright,
549 pages to go
what are you doing with that book
clip your toe nails
Twist harder, nigga
Got stuck in a loop with posting there.
It can fit the board in now, minus heat sink as stated prior
Fans spin clockwise right? That sucks, I can't swap it to hit the network adapter, ram, then the CPU last before going out because I'm right handed
With this shape it'll flow well enough the opposite way then back out
I'll probably tidy up the left side once the keyboard is mounted
Drill it out then spray the metal dust off
What, were far past that now
>
Going to start cutting to the bottom of the black line. I can't use the butter knife for this because it'll be too rough and the air will get hot from drag
The bottom layer is where I want it to finish
The top layer is where it starts
I'll curve it softly to speed ball the fuck out of air on exit so it can get more cold air in
On entrance it should be slower being sucked in, then peak around the cpu (the end of the first curve) then fall out like a rollercoaster
that the actual fuck am i looking at
Just rip it out with needle nose pliers.
Butter knife just frayed it and I don't want trapped air/ a fire
Luckily I had a can of double espresso . This'll be where that goes in the end, avoiding ram and cpu just in case
>copper/Ali don't conduct electricity do they?
Downward arrow is to signify pressure that'll be put unto it for an airtight lock
The layers are still nice
>multi-track air flow
What are you looking at? What am I looking at in this book?
Isn't this triggered feminist?
I'm using a butter knife and scissors, I don't own a Stanley nor do I own tweeters haha
>me when going through this thread
how is ripping the out guts of some destitute laptop and stuffing it into a text book refurbishing it?
that is what I was going to ask, but then I saw your living conditions and realized you are retarded.
This isn't just the next gen of computers.
This isn't the next generation of 2000's kids
This, is the next generation of technology.
Sorry it took so long guys, I was digging tunnels. Everything f should be fine now
Just the keyboard to go, need to separate it from the laptop cover
Please clean your room once you're done
Why?
Gentlemen. Children. Tweens.
This is what Steve jobs would've wanted.
Let me just do slime final tests with this shock thing I found
It's only messy because DIY
What was to gained from this user?
Will it POST?
Did you manage to fit the keyboard in ?
There are lights, no beeps!
Show video out you mad scientist you
We did it fellas!
>corrupted file or unsupported file type
dude somebody screencap this thread
thats a battery user...
run some benches
No it wasn't
Turns out I can still fit the battery too btw
its the CMOS battery
>h6501
No I mean this part. The battery is yellow. There are little prongs for no reason, it's sus conducting
Anyways I'm out. Going to leave the computer on for a couple hours to check temps
Gonna leave the house so I don't burn to death
You're a fucking mess, op. Get your shit together you horder.
cool, see you when you're out of prison
>When you're not only Jow Forums "autistic" but also clinically diagnosed with autism.
OP, don't show that shit to your mom she's going to get you back in the psych ward.
>kills a thread for this
do you think it makes you funny, kooky, kool, etc to take a few pieces of a perfectly good laptop and put it in a box with cutouts then pretend you made a computer even though there was already a computer you just put cardboard on it.
Kys reddit actual autist
>OP went off his meds, literally pulled apart Mom's laptop, forgot to tidy his room, started the "drawing in books" thing ...again and got his camera phone working again to post on 4chinz.
kewl story bruv. Mum's gonna pissed tho m8.
>Jow Forums
wtf nigga, why did you make all this effort?
10/10
Godspeed, OP.
what the fuck are you doing
OP fixed the airflow and turned it into a desktop. If anything, mom's going to love it.
>"look, look, look Ma, I made a NEW COMPUTER for you!"
>Sigh, did you? And what did you make it out of?
>"Your old one Ma, Look, look - I made it BETTER"
>sigh, so you've broken another of my laptops Jr.?
>"Yeah Ma, but look - it's got more airflow and is more aerodynamic now Ma!" "I even used the manual - see, i crossed the pages out after I read them so I'd know I'd read them!"
>Hmmm..., sigh. Let's go for another drive to the hospital Jr.
>I don't own a Stanley
Small mercies.
You do know that their service manuals are all available online, right? Pretty sure from their main support site too, to boot.
I like the "in a textbook" design. I'd make that little cubby in the book more rigid with some epoxy and plastic for mounting, and then run a plastic tube down the spine or something for some airflow.
