I loved turning on and off (and degaussing) CRT monitors.
Also when mechanical switches for keyboards was the norm.
The weird sounds your floppy drive would make, too.
they still do you faggot
the future is now old man
>turn screen off
>hold back of forearm up to screen
>hairs stick or due to static
Feels good man
That looks dogshit
nice black, dell ips and a corsair 200r looks fine u rose tinted faggot
Pic unrelated though
*click* ahhhhhh. Gotta love inserting floppies into my powermac as a kid
looks great
what model is this
This was an April fools joke and is not in production.
Yes.
now this is a tower
FUCKING WHY
I ACTUALLY UNIRONICALLY WANT THAT SETUP
why? because normies responsible for the product lineup, that's why
>haha look, we made a beige computer haha, just like in the old days
>lmao damn it looks so bad, I bet you're glad it was just april's fools right? haha
Greatest computer there ever was
Hi Eric
Find a better looking computer than pic related
Fuck off, boomer.
by normies you mean mindless consumerist automatons
please don't make me cum with images like this
no because i’m not a nostalgia fag who lives in the past
t. 40 yo boomer
They are not mindless. They're enthralled by capital, they lack necessary education, and subsequently taste and intelligence.
another boomer thread
post good feels
>tfw "cleaning" the static off my monitor with my hands
>installing an OS from CD and hearing the drive skip to different parts on the disc
>press eject button on diskette drive but leave my hand out of the way so it ejects the diskette flying outwards
this kills OP
is that nobunaga's ambition? looks familiar as fuck to me
how can anyone think this looks good?
it doesn't even have a coherent theme
just pastel vomit
>RGB mousepad
Degaussing. Pushing the diskettes in.
Go to Japan faggots, they literally still use floppy disk and fax machines
>powers upply on the bottom
so close yet so far
Would be decent except for the gay pride theme.
Gave me autism
found the triggered faggots
>computers used to look good
you're telling me you don't want your tower to look like a faggot?
>that switch that always makes a satisfying kathunk sound every time you flip it
>an audible start and finish to your time in cyberspace
nice watermark faggot
thanks
There's nothing wrong with being a fag, user. You can admit it.
It saddens me that modern technology is missing physicality like that.
you're welcome.
I'm not a faggot.
nice use of the front trays...
>gay pride colors
>not a fag
OK, we'll still be there for you when you're ready to come out.
>69°C while idling on the desktop
>It saddens me that modern technology is missing physicality like that.
the biggest thing that annoys me is the total silence of SSDs. when a HDD went absolutely crazy you had audio feedback and check what's up. now you can only see it when you actively monitor the transfers or if the system gets sluggish.
I just turned 32 and I have zero desire to go back to CRT monitors. They were awful. It's the same zoomer hipsters drooling over them that want to bring back VHS cassettes because old technology is new to them.
whatever you say...
Romance of the Three Kingdoms series, also by Koei. I'm not sure which one; the map is different from the II and III that I routinely dominated Cao Cao in.
Fuck yeah, you think old CPUs had anything like a speedstep? You had one hardware performance mode.
>not counting the turbo button, or jumper OC/OV'ing
>haha guys, look how sane and normal I am lmao
You should get a tripcode.
Most CRTs were awful and I also don't really miss them either but let those fuckers have their nostalgia fun.
Mostly this. 36 btw
I remember people actually heating their bedroom with Pentium4s
i rememeber
i also remember when tube screens gave you cancer and computers were loud as fuck and smelled like burnt plastic
The good days.
>low end consumer shit was shit
color me surprised
go be an edgelord elsewhere
Eww cables...
Back in the late 90s I wondered why the majority of computer nerds had VERY high hairlines or were almost bald and thought it might be because of the CRT radiation.
2018, being a "nerd" is hip and a TON more have thin as fuck hair while not using CRTs. I guess there's a different explanation for this.
>RGB everything
>Curbed monitor
>G-sync monitor
>No sex
Based Degausser
Remember when many PC manufacturers in the 2000's tried to imitate iMac?
>low end consumer shit was shit
Where in either of those posts were they talking about low end consumer shit?
take your time, I'll wait.
>zoomer hipsters drooling over them because old technology is new to them.
Pretty much this, I still get a giggle or two when my youngest cousins come to my house and they're dragging around their dad's nintendo 64, along with their phones that can probably emulate all the nintendo 64 games and is smaller than one of the carts.
*whoa! cool! old shit!*
CRTs are heavy blocky wastes of space that do nothing but damage your eyes.
I'm glad they're gone.
This is shit too though.
Old computers had tons of parts that made really distinctive sounds. You pretty flooded your brain with all those impressions just by operating the damn thing. Whoever lived through that will at some point miss those impressions and hence the nostalgia is so intense. Hearing those sounds again is pretty much oldfag ASMR material
Nextstation
r8 my current case.
Its housing a dead pentium 3 build while i wait for parts.
fuck I want to cry. it all used to be so lovely and wonderful. why did it have to get so fucked?
whoever tried to edit that image didn't know what he was doing
Holyshit can you take your meds grandpas, youre embarrassing this entire board with your boomer Nostalgia shit
Take your digoxin and sugar-free monster somewhere else. This is a Zoomer board now
Another Nextstation pic

Very nice
SPARCstation 5
The beige and gray worked great together.
