pretty good chinks
Decent products at a good price.
But you're fucked if your device has a problem
rebuting every 12 hours if used like g4 wifi
Good product spooky government
B
For me, it's the redmi note 3 qualcomm
Don't like the way guilao constantly mispronounce it's name
But it makes okay stuff I guess
>get new A6 for my nephew since it's dirt cheap
>16 GB storage
>9 GB available at first boot
god damn botnet
It's a chink Apple, with shittier everything, especially camera.
they put ads in my filebrowser what the fuck
dumb chinks
Shit phones
Shit laptops
Ok appliances
Great accessories
Amazing powerbanks.
Good phone, but they send data every second to Xiaomi, so I wouldn't use it for anything serious. Mine is only for shitposting and quick photos
I have a phone from them since 2 years and it's alright. It was cheap, just as fast when i got it and survived
hundreds of drop downs. Altough the audio jack gave up soon and i know it has chink botnet, but i don't really care. So i think they are alright if you want a cheap phone.
I bought a redmi note 5 recently and it's good.
But I upgrade phone every 5 years so I have no idea if it's good in comparison to other shit.
>great hardware for cheap
>spyware adridden software
Holy fuck its only $88!? What type of gook datamining operation are they doing to subsidize it down that low haha
I know! phone is decent, screen could be better but definitely not a deal breaker
>android
>adware
flash custom rom or built your own you fuckin faggot.
Wait so the CCP has my dickpics now ???
I though I stopped all permissions to the chinese crap
Nyeh I'm still a bit pissy from owning a Mi4 16GB. Fuck all fucking storage on the thing after the OS and it's required apps.
Fucking terrible cfw support unless you like your camera going full potato mode and random reboots.
No SD card on the flagship range because lul we want to be Apple of the east.
i own a mi max. the screen breaks upon 1st slip. 2 feet drop and its cracked. i suspect all their models are like this. also volume rocker simply broke in half. also the aluminum back is more slippery than ice
Good. Nice hardware engineering and QA. And they support their products pretty long, often even with substantial feature updates in software.
And the price for their products is usually okay. So I own dozens of their devices and stuff they put on their co-branded made-to-order marketplace thing.
Why the fuck did you not get a case?
> Fucking terrible cfw support unless you like your camera going full potato mode and random reboots
Well, fix the CFW you or whoever else created?
Xiaomi also managed to make their ROM support the camera and not cause random reboots.
> No SD card on the flagship range because lul we want to be Apple of the east
Still better than Apple, but sure, they use this tactic like 2/3 of the market to milk the people with enough money to buy "premium" phones, mostly defined by having high numbers on the spec sheet [more for bragging rights than actually running software] and a slightly better smartphone potato camera.
It's actually working. No, people don't actually buy phones with microSD and long lifespans in the premium sector, they really mainly want the bragging rights, and you can't really brag with a 2+ years old phone anyhow.
good chinks, whatever that means
have the Mi A1 and quite satisfied with the phone and android one
dont worry friendo. i got one after replacing screen twice. my iphone4 spent years without a case
>fix the CFW you or whoever else created?
Spend months learning how to do something I'm not passionate about or just replace it with a phone that does what I want and also has a larger and, frankly, less indian "english speaking" rom community.
On the SD front I did buy a premium phone and then a month later I bought a 128GB card for it. I don't care what "people" do. That's my opinion.
If you have money you can just get what you want in life rather than fuck about. I'm not playing the "lol poor" card. It's just genuinely what I did.
This has reminded me of a major issue with Xiaomi phones; If you want to use custom roms (and surprise surprise you're not actually a rom developer yourself) then you get to converse with Indians on the en.miui forum of pure, undiluted cancer. I finally remembered the worst fucking part of owning a Xiaomi. Indians.
At this rate, it seems like they're market hemselves more towards indian population now that they're moving significant infrastructures (bar HQ and manufacturing plant) to India
> my iphone4 spent years without a case
Myself and family at home did not manage to break the screen on two Redmi 1/1s, one Redmi and Redmi Note 2, 3 and 4.
Two of them were using a case and two had typical stick-on hardened glass screen protectors, the rest was unprotected.
Maybe a larger phone is more at risk, or maybe you're just more careless now; I don't think it has to do with Iphone 4 being much more robust.
i hate apple more than you and yes iphone 4 glass in their phones is more robust. xiaomi have 5% profit on phones....apple have 75% BUT its also true that apple uses higher quality shit. for example is iphone Xs Max 250gb costs to make $443
Mi Home app is botnet, but I need it for my extender device. The device is quite nice though.
I love them because they made my first phone which I was fully satisfied with.
Good phones (RN5 especially) but their OS (MIUI) is spyware. Luckily, their devices have excellent LineageOS support.
This.
I have the Red Meme Note 4 with LineageOS and it's perfect
I have a redmi 4 prime and the lineage support for that model is shit.
Decent to dogshit products for poorfags depending on product complexity. Their notebook range is horrendous pile of shit, phones are l decent to mediocre, power banks for asking price are good. Anyway, their products will get more expensive with time, can’t keep undercutting prices with the support of your government forever.
Unbeatable price/performance but unusable without a custom ROM.
> yes iphone 4 glass in their phones is more robust
I don't think so. Again, our phones didn't break either, and Xiaomi has used the same Corning glass [at first without then with integrated digitizer] on various of their models, which IIRC Apple also did and AFAIK still does - that $1bn sapphire glass plan of theirs has failed, right?
Either way, we didn't manage to break the screens either.
> BUT its also true that apple uses higher quality shit
For the most part I don't think that's true. They got their own computer chip primarily because IOS was [is? haven't tried it recently] absolute ass at multi-core usage as compared to Android and they needed a special piece of hardware there for that reason, but the remaining parts are pretty much the same. Actually, Xiaomi's antennas and sensors [for BT, GPS, phone calls, gyro, ...] usually were better apart from the Redmi budget models obviously not having the high-end Sony camera chip that the pricier IPhones usually had. And the storage and RAM also was just as good.
> but unusable without a custom ROM
You mean on their phones? Nah, MIUI is fine.
People manage to deal with IOS and TouchWiz crap, and MIUI is far better than these...
you are an indian street shitter. otherwise you would not so blindly defend xiaomi. i have a xiaomi and i can see the lower quality from iphones. for fucks sake the buttons on my mi max are plastic not metal like in iphone 4 and i can tear phone apart with my bare hands...no need for screwdriver. in fact last time it fell it spread out all across the floor
>Nah, MIUI is fine.
>People manage to deal with IOS and TouchWiz
All are equally unusable, at least on xiaomis I can fix it.
Hontstly though, sony midrange are built sturdier so iphone should be too.
Are you talking about the same iPhone 4 with the home button that stopped working when finger grease slipped past its cracks? The same iPhone 4 that lost two bars of cell coverage when you held it wrong? The same iPhone 4 that became a sluggish brick unless you fastbooteed it every other week and cleared the cache partitions?
What y'all think about their notebooks? I already have a Xiaomi Phone and thinking about buying a laptop but I didn't see a price advantage over normal laptops like Asus and HP
Overpriced.
No, I'm European, and I don't blindly defend them - I and family have been using the phones for years now, have benchmarked them, and also repaired one before [typical internal phone battery replacement] - what I saw inside the phone is just fine.
> for fucks sake the buttons on my mi max are plastic
While it doesn't matter THAT much in the case of a button's external cover, plastic is just better than metal in almost all external components like that.
I don't get why people want crappy metal on everything. It doesn't work better than plastic.
> mi max
Yup, don't have one of these. We only had the cheaper, more like Iphone4-sized Redmi / Redmi Notes.
Pretty shit. Their cheap ones have completely useless dGPUs, might as well have stuck with integrated graphics for better battery life.
It's perfectly usable, I don't get what you're complaining about.
It took me years before I even cared to use Lawnchair on it [yea, at some point if you have many apps, I guess an app drawer with search is easier than having just icons in folders...]
I have never felt the need to replace the notification/quick toggle area or anything else like that that is MIUI specific, they're great.
>No, I'm European
>launcher is the OS
Fuck off and don't reply to me ever again.
>european
>not LG or Sony
Yep, pajeet confirmed
The last higher-end model[s?] are good if you're only going to buy lightweight and flat and with pretty fast GPU, which I guess many people want.
Otherwise I'd say get a more budget-oriented Acer or Lenovo or Asus or whatever and save the money spent on it being flat or gaymen fast.
Never said that. Fuckoff yourself.
Why would I use LG or Sony? Pretty sure most people here got Applel or Samsung.
And I just imported Xiaomi phones for a good while. Even before the Indians had Xiaomi officially enter their market with IIRC some factories and they widely started using Xiaomi phones.
Sony are now very popular in Northen Europe and Austria, Germany and etc, funny becaouse they can't get a carrier in the U.S.
Did your daddy not taught You not to be ashamed of your dick?
I want the local version XZ2 compact but the XZ1c looks so much fucking cooler without a case, to be fair though the Ringke Onyx looks badass on the XZ2/XZ2c so it might evens out.
picture aint loading I meant this
ringkestore.com
XZ2 + Onyx case variant looks way better, brushed steel down to the bottom and the vertical sensor positions makes for a better look, I understand why they made it that way though.
Chink shit with few good products
>implying they're going to risk their entire operation to blackmail me for the $3k savings I have over my degenerate porn addiction
I'll take my chances
>It's a chink Apple, with better everything, except camera.
Ftfy
Phoneposting from Redmi Note 5. The phone runs great, but I had some very annoying bugs on MIUI 9, thankfully it was fixed when I updated to MIUI 10. As for the botnet, Xiaomi is not the only one who puts botnet in their devices, so I'll take my chances. The apps that come with the UI are pretty useful, to me at least. Cheap as hell and gives decent quality. If you're poor go ahead, if not buy a OnePlus.
Based chink company
all it takes is one rogue chink, chinks do blackmail as a trophy sport, they are insects
cute mascot
"Decent". Neither a really good company nor is it just a waste of money. For a fairly cheap price you can get a xiaomi smartphone, unlock it and flash a different ROM to avoid ads.
Problem is... recently they decided to introduce ARB and they seem to dislike people buying chinese phones for cheap and flashing a global ROM. Another thing, MIUI is not just that great. It has many features but it almost begs you to use their shit instead of alternatives. If you use enough Google services it's kind of painful to have two ecosystems in there. I get that iPhone users wanting to use google shit have a similar issue, but still. I don't know whether shit's gonna break if I disable some of the apps that Xiaomi.eu includes by default that wouldn't be removed from the original.
I said a lot of features, but it's actually lacking some. Can't expand notifications in lockscreen, for instance. The default launcher is pretty lacking. In some devices (like the Mi Max 2 I have) you have to manually change the DPI, because whatever setting it uses to change font size is messy (it changes font size for some elements and not others). It's kinda... janky? It tries to be fast and mimic iPhone but it's amateurish.
Somehow good I think
My Redmeme note 4 screen or motherboard died for no reason
Pls no
Their products are cheap and decent but they will datamine the crap out of you. I bought their router and it was injecting Chinese ads on websites. I Flashed it immediately with a custom firmware.
Using a MiA1 with lineage, works great and was cheap, been using it for a bit less than a year.
Pretty basic physics that the much bigger mi max is going to fair worse in a drop. Not really fair to blame xioami.
Same here. Xiaomi it's the new LG
MIUI is utter garbage and botnet.
Phones are meme trash copies of fruit phone.
Officially not available in many countries.
Lacks B20.
It's shit.
>lacks B20
everyone look at this brainlet and laugh
overpriced chinkshit

Quality post rasheesh.

We know who posting, mutt.
>MI
More like HDMI am I right
i like my phone
Same, lasted 2 years already and it's only going bad because of the battery.
Ordered a new one last week.
They make pretty cool robot vacuum cleaners.
>shady chink
>shady chink "incubator"(i.e. shady chink government owned business though to be fair the shady chink government might as well be an ancap corporation)
>shady chink who backstabs the shady chinks resellers who used to take care of fooling customs for the white gwailo market
>shady chinks locking bootloader behind a shady chink "activation" """service"""
>shady chinks who preinstall shady chink malware wasting YOUR resources sending telemetry shit to their shady chink servers
Used to be a pretty good quality to price ratio but the other companies caught up.
They released MIUI10 for my Mi 4c yesterday so they're alright.
Why are you not using xiaomi.eu?
My Mi Mix still gets OTA updates and works like a charm, so I like them.
Meh, same thing.
